Card Ordered To Be Produced yesterday!! Just discovered this when I called USCIS to file a service request for reaching the 6 month mark after receiving the Notice of Potential Interview Waiver back in December. We're August 2014 filers so hopefully they're processing everyone's applications quicker now. Not sure how to obtain tracking information for the card however. Is there tracking information available once it's mailed?

Congrats - I think that's three of us approved yesterday. Keep an eye on the USCIS tracker. The usps tracking info will appear there eventually.

Congratulations!!! You have waited a year not 9 months plus, it goes from you NOA1 date. Go celebrate this well earn't GC. Happy for you!

I am relieved to report today that I received the E-mail notice that the resident card was approved today.

I hope enough data can be collected and be useful for current and future NPIW cases. This stage was indeed a stressful walk in the dark side of USCIS and how they (don't) report things.

Good luck to all, and also thanks for your continuous stream of information and updates.

AOS:
NOA notice: May 28, 2014
NPIW letter: August 13, 2014

Approved: May 19, 2015 (9+ months)

Shell

I still wonder whether this 'backlog reduction initiative" is what I suggested this weekend. I believe your file has been transferred and you will not be waiting the complete year. Look at the poster to day that got the RFE for immunizations. They are July filers and will get approved soon after submission. The trend is becoming the norm...older filers get bogged down in RFE's and July filers are being approved...

Nlhernan my friend, is that the report that you mentioned was on Fox news? I think you said there was a special report on it? Could you send us the link? My fingerprint fee has been received by the way!!! lol :)

It took 559 days to reach the page limitation of 230 pages for the origianl Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case, i.e. 09/06/2013 - 03/19/2013
this continuation thread only takes 61 days. it must be the most active topic in VJ.
how many continuation threads will there be when we start the application for RoC in two years?

Although I love speaking to you guys on a daily basis hopefully no continuation of ROC!!! :)

I kinda think that this is what's happening too. I'm still waiting for our response in the mail, but my fingers (and toes!) are crossed that ours has also left the NBC.

Me too! ;)

Fingers, toes and everything else crossed. It seems we got an August filer approved today/yesterday, so we are getting there. I think because yours is at the field office! Did you get an email? Mine seems to have come from my local office for some reason. Weird.

Hi, everyone,
I have never received a potential interview waiver letter. But today we got RFE from SF office saying they are processing our case for NBC. And if after REF, they still think we need an interview, they'll transfer our case back to NYC.
Our congresswoman office staff told us before that we got potential interview waiver (even we have never gotten the letter stating that).
So I guess we really got PIW.
However, I wonder if anyone got similar situation?
RFE asking for marital evidences such ask credit card statement, lease, tax refund...etc.
We don't have a lease because we got married after I signed the renewal. And it costs $300 for adding a new person on the lease. We decided to wait till the next year lease. But they sold out building, and we've never gotten the renewal lease. We like it without a lease, so we can move to a bigger place anytime when we are ready.

Do we submit photo album too? We put together a very nice photo album for the interview...but if we are sending it to SF office, I don't think we'll get it back :(
Please help! If anyone has similar or same situation, please help telling us what evidences you sent~ and what's the result? Still got interview or got the GC after RFE?
(So anxious...rather just go to the interview...)

You can send copies of photos and you can send joint medical insurance, joint bank statements, tax returns that should suffice, anything that is in joint names that proves the linkk.

Congratulations!!! Go celebrate!! :) I think you're our first August filer, seems they are as Nlhernan said going through the back log, Hopefully they will stop sending out rfes for medicals as that is a slap in the face after waiting so long. Just not right or fair when its their fault!

Good morning Peeps,

What a day yesterday, it was quite amazing to see the approvals, especially Derwood and one from August!!

Now Derwood is a permanent resident he can't say this but I can..... "Where's my $$%&** GC"!!! Seriously USCIS, give us an interview or a card whichever comes quickest. I don't nor does any one else want a generic excuse, we just WANT to get on with our LIVES!!

That being said, lets see lots of approvals today!!!! :) May the GC force be with you all! :)

Morning all,

I just wanted to say thanks for all the messages. I'm so relieved to have finally gone 'green'. It's such a great feeling and knowing that I don't have to deal with USCIS for nearly two years is fantastic! Since travelling to the U.S. I've found that (in general) CBP immigration officers are rude, arrogant and unpleasant to deal with. To the CBP officer that will be dealing with my return crossing over the Canadian border on June 10: Just try it buddy .. but if you do, I'll be telling you to kiss my a**! :-)

Congratulations to all of the other recent approvals too. I think that Rick & Mavis approval (they are August 2014 filers) would seem to indicate that things are speeding up. Maybe Operation Backlog is real and is finally starting to work?

Good luck to those still waiting. I'll certainly be sticking around to see you go green!

Good morning everyone! Congratulations to all of the approvals that I have missed. I still lurk around here from time to time. I have to apologize, I had to give up my daily Mountain Dew routine. I was getting massive headaches, gave up the Mountain Dew, and headaches were gone. I am 2 weeks sober, lol. I still have my daily green though, but it's just water and lime. I know it's supposed to be lemon, but I had to have the green for all of you still waiting. Best of luck to all of you and I hope that you get those approvals soon! GET MOVING USCIS!!!!!!

CONGRATS!!! You will soon be the proud parents of a bouncing baby green card. The backlog reduction inititve is alive and kicking (approvals out the door. I'm not sure what there nidus was that cause this change, but it's about time...Go paint the town green...

Gosh, I may have a huge problem now. We are in the process of getting a house. And we put both of our names on the loan. Now the underwriter is requesting a non expired Visa which I do not have!!!!!!

I am trying to tell them my immigration status. But not sure if this would not allow me to add my name on the loan. Does anyone have any clue on this situation? OR is it something to expedite the process?

Thanks~

P.S. I have the "excellent" credit score in the US, so I don't have the no credit history problem

We bought a car on Monday. We had to go through explaining the whole thing. Finally, they accepted his EAD card as proof enough to have him on the loan with me. We had all of our communications (letters) from USCIS at the ready. My husband doesn't have a Texas driver license either as it would've expired too soon to even bother with it. All he has is his passport with the expired visa in it and his EAD/AP card.

Hope it gets sorted soon. If not, check with other mortgage brokers.

I'm not sure what there nidus was that cause this change, but it's about time...

I'm guessing it might have been a surge of Ombudsman complaints.

Congrats Derwood!

Operation Backlog needs to go back to those who have waited 11-12 months or more and has received an RFE for medical and approve them first! I mean they were backlogged before the June, July, August filers. No predjudice against you and others who have gotten the green. Just frustrated. Today is our NOA anniversary.
