Sorry about thr RFE for a new medical Movin On, but the end is in sight for you. At least you got the extended time to get it done. And trust me, when we sent the new medical to them, included the receipt withe a "hostile" letter pointing out that the medical expired because of them, through no falt of ours as we did everything timely.

I just am not comprehending the differences in time frames for the rfes. Some are 30 days others are 87... What happens if you can't get the medical done and to them in 30? Flat out ridiculous!

And yes, still lurking around here.... I don't think I can fully leave until Shell and Derwood have their green.

Hey! good to see you!

You sent them a nasty letter? Ha! good for you!! I don't suppose you heard anything from them, maybe a sorry or something? Ha! Who am I kidding?! lol

I dont understand the difference in the deadlines either, very confusing! We will get it done next month and then that will be that I guess.

Yeah I cant leave either until those two get their approvals! At this rate I think Derwood will get his before we do! LOL

Good to see you guys around . Hope the green is still as sweet (though not as sweet as fresh $100 bills).Iike you, could never sign off until MovinOn, Derwood and Shell get the green...

Thanks all! I'd really like it if my June 9th trip across the Canadian border was green ... meanwhile back in the real world ... there ain't no chance of that happening. My card would need approving next week for that to happen and unfortunately I'm only (ONLY!) ten months in.

What I envisage happening is that my renewal EAD/AP will be approved while I'm in Canada. That will probably automatically cancel out my existing card which the none-too-nice border guy will swipe and say is invalid ... then onto secondary .. Let's make up the rest of the story from there ;-)

You have to wonder if there is a 'conscious' effort (did I really just say that) to the trend we're seeing...There are now many late June and July filers getting approved without RFE's while just about every remaining April and May filer is getting that run aroud and get more info letter (the dreaded RFE). Are they in fact listening to complains such as D+B and the countless complaints from the ombusman and Congress? By approving these "lottery winning" filers, they avoid the very unfair and low public relations rule change regarding medicals made last June 1st. In addition, this also beats the bad press 1 year mark we were getting use to seeing up until 3 weeks ago when the RFE's started routinely falling out of the sky for April and May filers. It might be that they may not be lottery winners after all and this may become the norm. Have they finally hired new people with approving power and/or prioritized later filers and RFEing earlier filers, therby saving face by being able to be seen abiding by the stupid rule change but at the same time avoiding it by approving later cases? Only time will tell to see if this continues. It sucks to see the remaining oldtimers getting screwed by this trend...

Just to put your mind at rest, we got the approval text during our layover in Istanbul on our return trip from Morocco. The border guy told us that his green card had been mailed and seemed relieved that he didn't have to do much work. Soooo, if it wasn't a problem for my Moroccan flying in through Turkey, I'm sure it won't be a problem for a nice British guy like you. ;-) Edited by Hurryupandwait

I just keep sitting here shaking my head, I am sure its going to drop off one day, or I am going to be like that girl in the Exorcist where it does a total 360 degree turn! I am fed up of the whole thing and the fact that no one is held accountable for this farce of a system! All I see it being is a money making exercise, profiting everyone except the immigrant or immigrant's families.

My medical RFE was mailed April 9 just a few days BEFORE my AOS turns a year old april 16. I was to submit the RFE back until JULY 9. My medical appointment was may 14,2015 and i had some vaccines given to me so i had to wait for the results and they will jist have to mail me the sealed envelope from my civil surgeon. And while im waiting for that to come USCIS approved my renewed EAD. Oh and i paid $$497 for that medical coz they need to give me syphilis vaccine, tb screening, varicella vaccine and charge to get my blood drawn. It wasnt funny at all.

Thanks everybody, but what does ADIT stand for?

It's a data collection form. ADIT : Alien Documentation, Identification, & Telecommunications System.

Record of personal and biographical information such as name, date of birth, picture and fingerprint coordinates, height, mother's first name, father's first name, city/town/village of birth.

My EAD/AP card expires on September 4 and I've already applied for EAD/AP renewal and received my NOA1s. Calculate the date 120 days prior to your expiry date and mail the documents 4 days before that.
