Hahaha...man this whole process really is a c r a p shoot.

Thank you so much! I'm regaining a glimmer of hope...

Make haste whilst the sun is shining, from what I can remember from what you said it is next month when school starts right? You need to request an expedite asap. They do expedite contrary to believe if you can show them it might cause financial hardship and college/school fees aren't cheap.. are they!!

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

USA citizen as of 25th of July 2018. :)

I sent everything just now to the senator who helped us speed up our K-1 visa, so hopefully they will be able to do something! If I don't hear from him by Monday I will call...I just tried to call USCIS and it wasn't recognizing my receipt number. So frustrating!!

School starts July 6th...so 1.5 months, which seems so short in AOS land since everything seems to take upwards of a year. We can't afford that many thousands of dollars right now!!

You were lucky to have a good senator like that. Not like someone or politician from Florida.

Yes very lucky. The person helping us is from Senator Gillibrand's office in NY, where I was raised. Maybe try a senator from a state where you or your spouse was raised/has ties or family? They might be willing to help...just a thought.

Just wondering, what is "normal processing time" for AOS, is it 5 months?

Hi everyone. This is my firt time posting. I found this thread about a month ago when my doughter was worried about her husband AOS approval. I told my doughter about this but she is so stress about this process, it took my doughter 4 years to get her than fiancé out of Egypt first time on her own got denied she hire a great attorney now they are happly married. Their attorney sent the aed to be renew, yesterday she got her notice for biometric appointment and today she check her statues for her AOS and it saids... My card was Order to be produced...... Send the package the end of June..AOS July 7 ,2014 the interview weiver letter oct 15.. Good luck every praying that everyone get approved soon.. Do you know how long that it take to get the card and does my Son inlaw needs to go tto the biometric appointment?

If is says that the GC has been approved then just call up and let them know that you have a bio appt that you do not need and they will cancel it for you. The bio is not needed if the GC is approved.

My husband was born and raised in Ohio but he moved a lot since he is in the military. So basically, he does not have strong ties to any states where he (was) is stationed.

Booo. I thought the waiver was good but I wish we could just do the interview at this point.

You would think it would be a good thing, wouldn't ya?? But nay nay, it is a sentence to the pits of purgatory! As we have concluded on this thread here from letters of Congressman, Senators, Ombudsman and USCIS. It can take 9-12+ months.
