Timeline

We just called USCIS to check on the status of our case, and we were told that the Field office from our area is working on cases from August and we are July filers. He said he would make a service request. I think they forgot about us...

Hi there! You can pretty much disregard what your local field office is up to. Interview waiver cases can end up at any field office around the country-- we're "special"! So don't be worrying about your case. It's most likely in the right place. Right now a lot of April-May 2014 cases are being processed, and the average wait time seems to be 1 year. Seeing that you filed in July, you may have a few more months of waiting to go yet. Keep track of your dates, and file for EAD renewal 120 days before its expiry (no sooner). Welcome to the club! :P

UGH, the wait continues.........Some days are ok and some days this process just seems never ending. Next month we will surpass the year mark.

I can't imagine the frustration of those that have waited over a year.

Just had the 30 day update from our Congressman's office. "The I-485 application is still at the NBC and they stated that our case is still on-track to be reviewed shortly. It will be reviewed at a field office which may or may not be Indianapolis depending on the workload, but the decision will ultimately come from NBC."

I did find out when our biometrics appointment is scheduled and I was also told they can't push back much until after the application hits1 year.

I guess we just have to wait for another 30 days for an update.

When I called in March I got the same thing, that because it hadn't been a year, we were still within normal processing times, even though the website said they were processing August and we were April/May. Although everything I have says it is all being processed in our local office, unless San Antonio, Texas isn't really a local office.

Just got off the phone with my senator's office. Basically she called the Manchester Field office where my file is located, and they told her that USCIS states that processing time is 9-12 months from NOA date (which i already knew) so since my NOA date is May 20th 2014 I am STILL within USCIS processing times. She also said the GC is not a priority because my husband is able to work and travel with the EAD combo card. She stated kinda rudely that we still have 30 more days to wait until they will start processing our file, then when past 30 days we will be outside of processing time. Then she went into stating that the senator's office really helps those immigration cases that "really" need help.

I only contacted my senator via emails and mails ,so I didn't have to deal with rude attitude .In the letters ,it always seems nice and polite .The reply from my senator said same thing "it take 9-12 months since NOA date " but half a month after that ,my case get updated today .My NOA date is later than yours ,JUNE 5th . Since your senator had uscis reviewed your case ,your case might have a update very soon too
