Morning . Update on my case .This morning I received a message on my cellphone "your case has updated" I went to check case status ,It says they need more information from me .I will not know what they need until the physical letter arrives in my mailbox . I am guessing the new medical record since the old one expired in April .And maybe my husband before divorced paper too. We didn't submit his before divorced paper . This happens half a month after my senator assisted ,before I receive response from ombudsman . I am kind of relieved ,I am hoping after I send all these back ,my case will be completed .Any advice on getting new medical ?

A medical is a pain in the ####### as its expensive and unnecessary as what do you have now and didn't have before you arrived here! This isn't Ellis Island and we don't live in the 1800/1900's. Perhaps we should send them a memo to point that out!?!?!?

Derwood is correct, your file is now at a field office and as soon as you return whatever they need/require you will have a new edition to your family in the form of a GC! :)

I found out there are a few walk in clinic in my city which can do the medical for immagration .They don't require for an appointment .I think the last one i did was in those walk in clinic too .They are expensive .Paid 500 dollars. I don't know when the letter will arrive .Waiting to make sure before I go.

yes, you can renew 120 days before expiration date on card.....we are hoping our renewal we sent will trigger the GC.

Unfortunately GC approval and EAD renewal are unrelated (different MSC #). And correlation you may see is only coincidental. An EAD renewal is hedge against a very delayed GC so you can continue to work.

Ok Interview over :) we were swore in and they started asking questions ( yes and no answers), every question they asked he had the answers in front of him as it was the questions off the application form. After asking me questions we were waiting on him to ask the wife something but that never happened :). His response was " I need to review your case as I'm not sure if you need a new medical as yours was done 2 years ago in the UK". He said he will try to look over the case later today, I asked if we get an RFE for the medical how long I have to submit it in as if I leave it till after the 24th june we would of been married and would I then get a 10 year GC lol he smiled and said you have done everything by the book and yo know how this works lol. In a way I'm hoping for an RFE.

Im hoping you get an rfe, so you get that 10 year green stuff. I don't know what happens with the 10 year card, whether you do ROC or not? Whether or not it makes a difference to your wait?

But then do you have to wait the 5 years for citizenship or still 3 years? This is what I am not sure about.

Well I will join the line of frustration. I also received a letter back in August that interview would likely be waived but that I shouldn't expect any action for 6 months due to "workload factors not related to my case" I called in March and they told me i was outside the processing time and would put in an inquirey. That came back in an e-mail in minutes that i was still within processing times and should wait an additional 87 days before contacting them again. Rather random seeming number... I am feeling a bit more hopeful seeing all the cards coming through here but...my EAD expires in July, should i be applying for an extension?

Welcome!. My husband had Dr. Cheema also, he liked him.

It says on your signature that the AP was rejected, may I ask why and what did you do to fix that?

You should file for renewal right away, It takes them about a couple of months to approve and get a new one for you.

Welcome!. My husband had Dr. Cheema also, he liked him.

Dr. Chima was wonderful. My AP was rejected because of an outdated form. I just sent it back in on the right form and it was returned pretty quickly.

I am going to hunt down the form to renew my EAD as I have a great job and can't afford not to be working or to lose the job.

UGH, the wait continues.........Some days are ok and some days this process just seems never ending. Next month we will surpass the year mark.

I can't imagine the frustration of those that have waited over a year.

Just had the 30 day update from our Congressman's office. "The I-485 application is still at the NBC and they stated that our case is still on-track to be reviewed shortly. It will be reviewed at a field office which may or may not be Indianapolis depending on the workload, but the decision will ultimately come from NBC."

I did find out when our biometrics appointment is scheduled and I was also told they can't push back much until after the application hits1 year.

I guess we just have to wait for another 30 days for an update.

June 11 - "Welcome to America" letter received!!!!!! WE WENT GREEN!
March 10 - Packet sent to CSC
March 13 - Delivered
March 15 - Check Cashed
March 17 - NOA Arrived
