Got a call from my west coast lawyer who got the RFE letter before me. Says they want her medical redone and proof we are still together. After waiting nine months already? Wow. Just freaking wow. And that's not retaliation? Stay away from your congress critter...

I got a letter from a USCIS in New York (not sure why there) that my I-693 medical exam document is now expired. Because it's taken them almost a year to open the case... I'm not sure if this is a good sign or not - maybe they'll finally do something with it. It says to send in a updated I-693 within 30 days.

May 20, 2014: Sent the AOS package
May 22, 2014: NOA for I-485 and I-765
June 10, 2014: Biometrics appointment
June 17, 2014: RFE for a joint sponsor
July 30, 2014: We send the RFE package in
August 1, 2014: I-485 moved to Nebraska Service Center and status changed to RFE review
August 25, 2014: EAD status changed to Card/ Document Production
September 10, 2014: Notice of Potential Visa Waiver Case

Yeah, I'm guessing that's why they want another medical done in our case. Sad they cause this problem through thier lack of effort and we have to pay for it - again. I actually hate complaining, but in this case there is no excuse for what happened. None. And in this case there is no redress.

Good evening everyone. We finally calmed down a little bit. Since the first round of news the status has changed to Welcome Notice Mailed. But I have a question, does anyone know what ADIT processing means? Here is what the status says

On April 28, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSC149XXXXXXX. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by June 27, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

What does all this mean? Very confused...

MovinOn do we know the approximate number of people waiting for one year or more? Is it just 4 of us or are there more?

I think two guys on the forum/thread are working on some kind of chart/spreadsheet. I don't know how we could find out on visajourney how many people are still waiting from March. I know Cahrie is, Movin On, Rebor, Nat and Mark are and with you I think that is 5?

1 year, 21 days over here! USCIS received my RFE response (for the expired medical and proof of on-going marriage) as of yesterday. Hoping to hear from them soon!

Thank you so much for the link!

So this means it is optional, or we have to do it before they send a card?

OMG, have you contacted a congressman?!?! So you have been waiting 15 months?!?!? Wow, wow, wow! You need to get in contact with your local representative and send a complaint to the ombudsman, get an info pass, this REALLY is UNACCEPTABLE. No excuse for it, NONE, ZERO!!

Ive just read it and it says you need the appointment before they send the card. :( To set up an info pass, don't you have one set up? Don't know what to say, just shocked at the way they treat people! :(

It means once you get it done your card will be issued, however, why should you pay for their mistake?!?! I would complain once you get it done, to everyone..... USCIS, Ombudmsan, Congress etc. No excuse for this.
