I must admit I am shocked a July filer, did you do a expedite or something? Or was it that your case just got released from purgatory at NBC?

Any way go celebrate and enjoy your moment! :)

Not sure if you are, I would give the computers time to update! Normally takes around 11 days to get to you in the post, but I think it can take longer sometimes like Nlhernan although he was the exception, being an exceptional person of course!! :)

Hello, everyone! I have received my Green card today. I am finally relieved that I have it in my hands.

I want to thank each and every one of you for sharing your story, your problems, you questions and your answers. I will try to step away from this forum for a while, even I know will be difficult because it became a routine, as checking my email. I consider you all my friends... but now I should start focusing more on my pregnancy that reading immigration forums. (L)

I wish you all very quick approvals, happy live next to your beloved spouse!

We will be sharing a forum in about 21 months for ROC. :thumbs:

Both my congressman and SR must have done the trick. An officer from Cleveland called me and told me they would request it from NBC last month.

They are ordering my card. This is awesome.

How long does it take to get it after they send you the we are ordering your card email?

Am I a permanent resident yet? Or is it only when I recieve it?

I got my GC under 10 days, however, it could take longer depending on USCIS lol.

The date of resident is the date that they approve your I-485 which will show on your GC. You are permanent resident officially when you receive it to prove your status.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

Well today I got bored so I called USCIS as not spoke to them for a week lol, I listened to the same old thing " your case is in lees summit" so I pressed 3 and spoke to a tier1, she told me what I had just heard so I asked her "is it not meant to be in Atlanta" she just confirmed its in NBC. I told her I have an interview in a weeks time in Atlanta and according to her they don't need my file to interview me and I need to be there on the day and time they said.According to tier1's if they have sent you an interview letter they can access my file for the interview!!!!! looks like a 2 day break in Atlanta is on the cards lol but if they do interview me and only give me a 2 year GC then I will be taking it further as its their fault its took so long not mine, wonder if the media would be intrested in the way they are treating US ALL ???

This is strange as I remember one particular case where someone went for an interview took time of work and such and they couldn't interview them as their file wasn't there. They are asking for a copy of your stuff if I am correct? Which makes me more suspicious that they have lost your file! Could be totally wrong, but something is not adding up here, misinformation or disinformation?

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

I want that congressman! Oh ####### I can't have them as they aren't in my jurisdiction. However, I wonder if they are in Derwoods? :)

I agree. My sentiments exactly. They lost it...

Though I think they cancelled that couples file because they did not have jurisdiction over the case because it was assigned elsewhere and could not interview. That's why earlier I was concerned that this was a mistake. Though the detail of the requested materials required suggests they are CYAing because the rat's at NBC ate it during incarceration...

After one year, I receive an appointment that we had today.... and now my girl is a resident !! we´ll receive her card on the next weeks..

Good morning everyone! I am brand new to this forum so I apologize if this topic has already been covered. When is the right time to contact the Ombudsman? Our NOA was received November 3rd and we received an interview waiver in February,

Welcome to the forum! Take a comfy seat as unfortunately you might be here for a while!

You can contact the ombudsman as soon as your local field office are processing your noa1 date, although I think that Natonstan contacted them before this around 9 months after filing.

I haven't contacted them yet and it has been nearly 9 months since my noa1 date, but I will be next month and I WILL be having my pennies worth and letting them know what I think of the WHOLE process and how it affects people's lives!

Any way hope you hear news shortly! :)
