If you are a K1 applicant they you aren't done with USCIS for three years, you need to file for ROC 90 days before 2 years is up I'm afraid!

Thank you for the warning! I will set a couple reminders for 120 days before the 2 years is up so that we can begin preparing for ROC.

OMG!! Good for you, It is so good to see someone with dates like yours to get approved!! You should not have had to wait so long, but now your worry is over! Enjoy! I am truly happy for you!!!!

MovinOn, I feel for you and I have hope that you will be approved very soon. Neither of us should have waited so long!

Big congrats to you! Such a relief!!!

Hello everyone! Congrats to everyone who was recently approved! That is really great! Called the Ombundsman yesterday, They said the case hasn't been assigned yet, and that until it gets assigned there is nothing they can do?!?!?!? So once again dead end. One year and two weeks...

We are hangin' in there with you! 1 year 3 weeks today!

So you guys are now 60ish days away from qualifying for an unrestricted 10 year green card and USCIS are still messing you about regarding your interview date .. an interview that may not happen anyway. Are you guys really going to let USCIS issue you with a 2 year conditional green card after all this? Are you really going to line their pockets with another $590.00 for ROC when you have been treated so badly. I'd say the ball is firmly in your court now, provided you don't get approved without interview before June 24. Get that interview date pushed back!

Have you also considered that if you push the interview date back you are about 3 years & 2 months away from qualigying for citizenship. If you're approved before your second anniversary you are 5 years away from qualifying!

You may wish to photocopy the appointment letter, attach a letter, send it (recorded delivery to Atlanta and ask if your case is actually there because the USCIS mis-information line say it is not.

By the way I'm wishing you all the best. Your case is even more infuriating than MovinOn's and that takes some doing! Good luck and enjoy your post June 24 visit to the Atlanta USCIS field office! ;-)

Hmm not true Derwood, you must have been working loooong hours!!! Lol Should take 3 years for citizenship from a K1, if USCIS wasn't so slow and 5 years for other visas!! Don't add years to our journey's please?????? Lol :)

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

Thanks Shell, you're absolutely right. What I said about citizenship is wrong. Nat&Mark are still within a cat's whisker of that 10 year GC though ;-)

Well apparently they are meant to assign someone within 30 days and if 30 days have passed you can ask them to do so!

Its been longer than that Shell. We filed a request with the ombudsman on march 16th...

We are hangin' in there with you! 1 year 3 weeks today!

I know! It really feels like we have been forgotten... Oh well... I just hope our files are not lost or something...

Ombudsman confirmation letter said that they will respond within 45 business days. We sent our Ombudsman request on March 16th also.

I hope they didn't loose anything either! But it worries me as each day goes by that there is more of a chance of something getting lost. It makes me feel like something is wrong because others are being approved that filed in June! We filed the K-1 paperwork like everyone else, medical, police report, long birth cert and went for an interview and were approved! Came here got married within the 90 days and filed AOS within 30 days with the paperwork that the attorney said we needed. SOOOO I don't understand how they can say ALL cases are different. WHAT IS THE HOLD UP, they wont give you any answers that are of any help. It is all a big secret!

UGH!
