OMG! We FINALLY received the GREAT news just a few minutes ago!

On April 22, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number, and will mail it to the address you gave us.

I can't believe it, he is finally going to receive is greencard after a year and almost two months from our original mailing date! His EAD, AP, and DL are all going to expire on May 7th and I was really worried! I had called the Senator's office today to check with them since I had contacted them over a month and a half ago for assistance. I also had just filled out the form with the Ombudsman a few hours ago to ask for assistance with USCIS as well.

Thank you so much everyone! We plan on celebrating the GC and finally being done with USCIS for the next three year!

Hopefully you will receive the same great news very soon. We are some of the last March filers (I think). We didn't apply for EAD or AP renewal because I had completely forgotten about it until it was less than 90 days before they expired and by then I figured that the GC would be produced before the renewals. It was a risk to not apply for renewals and that is why I was so worried about the GC.

That is kinda what I was subtly saying. All these late June approvals are infuriating in light of yours and others interminable wait from March. You know that your file is at a FO but silence and misinformation make it beyond frustrating. I only hope that you guys get the news very, very soon...I can just say it will be worth it...

Honestly sometimes I feel like we are never going to get that card, like there is something wrong...I dont know..its frustrating to watch other pass you by that filed two month after you. I'm am still happy for them personally, its not their fault.

I called USCIS Yesterday to see if there were any updates lol and my file is still in Lees Summit or so it said, my interview is in less than 2 weeks in Atlanta. I really wonder what is going on, if my file is NOT in Atlanta can they still interview the wife and I ??

So you guys are now 60ish days away from qualifying for an unrestricted 10 year green card and USCIS are still messing you about regarding your interview date .. an interview that may not happen anyway. Are you guys really going to let USCIS issue you with a 2 year conditional green card after all this? Are you really going to line their pockets with another $590.00 for ROC when you have been treated so badly. I'd say the ball is firmly in your court now, provided you don't get approved without interview before June 24. Get that interview date pushed back!

Have you also considered that if you push the interview date back you are about 3 years & 2 months away from qualigying for citizenship. If you're approved before your second anniversary you are 5 years away from qualifying!

You may wish to photocopy the appointment letter, attach a letter, send it (recorded delivery to Atlanta and ask if your case is actually there because the USCIS mis-information line say it is not.

By the way I'm wishing you all the best. Your case is even more infuriating than MovinOn's and that takes some doing! Good luck and enjoy your post June 24 visit to the Atlanta USCIS field office! ;-)

They can't, you have received more wrong information just like I think we have at the info pass appointment. Always they do not give our the phone numbers for the field offices, they know we would all bombard them with call. The only number you can call it the 800 number unless an IO personally will give you a number. Another member received a letter about an interview, they went and were turned away because their file was not there. I'm sorry this is happening to you, it all seems to be a hit and miss.

Congratulations!!! Whoop, whoop!

Ombudsman take 30 days to assign an officer, not sure how long after that you get approved, so not sure its them.

Enjoy your moment and go celebrate! :)

Have you rang your field office, so you don't have to take time off work and such? I am actually wondering if they have actually lost your file as if I remember rightly they want a copy of everything you sent in, which is very bizarre when they have it right in front of them!

Don't be surprised if it gets there a day early it did with Espared12! :)

It was not the Ombudsman, they would have gotten a letter. it was just their lucky pick of the draw.

Totally agree with this sentiment, you are now a few weeks away from a 10 year card.

I wouldn't be going to any interview and taking time off when they don't even know if your file is at the office and they haven't got the decency to clarify it! Why throw money away!

Like Derwood said the ball is firmly in your court now and you really don't need the hassle of this unconfirmed interview right now, get the date pushed back!!!!
