Two days shy of one year from filing I-485 application, I finally received my Permanent Resident Card tonight!


Even it was delivered two days later than the expected, I am still excited. :dancing:


Congratulations to all those people who received their GC or approvals for AOS recently!


By looking at the numbers of recent approval, I am sure people are still waiting will get yours very soon! :)

My welcome letter was sent from Lee's Summit, too. Actually all of my I-797C, I-797 and ASC Appointment notice came from there

Check the RFE closely, they may only be requesting the vaccination worksheet of form I-693 and not a whole new medical. The RFE we received stated in the "Other" section that we are only required to submit pages 1 and 5 of the I-693 form which is exactly what we did. We found a Civil Surgeon that charged $30 to transcribe my husband's vaccination sheet from his medical that was done overseas and the blood test that he took here to prove that he had received the chicken pox (Varciella) vaccine since it was missing from his original vaccination record.

All the I-72 I received says is

Other: Your medical exam has expired. Please submit a completed Form I-693 in a sealed envelope.

This to me sounds like a whole new medical unfortunately....I have googled many search terms and found nothing related to this. Anyone out there have any experience with this or know of any documentation about it?

When I first contacted the Ombudsman my case was still at the Service Center.... I had no knowledge whether it had been transferred to a local office or not. In fact, when I followed up to the Ombudsman with an email last week, she said that my case was still awaiting assignement to an analyst. So I'm not sure it ever went to a field office.

All family based AOS are adjudicated at FO's. The ombusmam may get some of the same trash info they give us...

Interesting, I would like to know about that myself. Wonder if everyone receives the Welcome letter from Lee's Summit? I don't believe anyone has mentioned that. The focus shifts when you receive approval.

I didnt know that happened to you, where you called and they told you it was still at Lee's Summit and a week later it is approved. We have found out that they do go to some field office somewhere but most don't seem to find out which one. Was it a Tier 1 or Tier 2 that told you it was still Lee's Summit?

Wow, it's quiet on the thread today, not a singular post and most of the time I have a hard time keeping up with the many emails notifications I get!

Perhaps it's the quiet before the storm and everyone will be posting later with exciting news?!?!

08 March 2018: Case (allegedly) transferred to the National Benefits Center (presumably for a combo interview)

04 April 2019: ROC approved (as part of N-400 combo interview)

18 February 2018: N-400 Application submitted online

21 February 2018: NOA1 Rreceived

23 February 2018: Biometrics appointment letter received. Appointment 13 March 2018. 

27 April 2018: Interview notice received. Interview Date: June 5, 2018. Request to reschedule sent as out of the country at that time.

04 April 2019: Attended interview ... PASSED!

11 April 2019: Oath ceremony

Guys i just got this email update from a service request.

Is manchester field office a good sign?

Our records show that your Form I-485 is currently pending adjudication. We received this file In the Manchester Field Office just recently. Please be assured we will adjudicate your case, or contact you for information, very shortly. Our systems show you were already issued work authorization and advanced parole. Yes it means that within 30 to 60 days you should get approval and seeing as the file is there already probably sooner! :)

Morning Shell, morning all. A 12 hour shift for me yesterday followed by a restless night - Oh my I'm tired. It's our opening day at work today so it's going to a busy one. On the plus side it's been keeping my mind off 'green' issues.

MovinOn, I'm afraid I'm going to have to start waggling my finger at you before long. I do not feel comfortable moaning about my case when you (and others) have been waiting over a year. Please get yourself approved forthwith! ;-) :-) :-)

If anyone is listening up above (and I think divine intervention is now required) please could you arrange for my left palm to be crossed with green and my right palm to be crossed with a silver police badge. Thanks. Oh my, I think I'm delirious!
