Hey everyone! Been waiting since April 1st 2014, got an RFE letter in the mail today for new I-693 form :( I guess USCIS just wants another $200-$400 of my money before they issue my green card...

Check the RFE closely, they may only be requesting the vaccination worksheet of form I-693 and not a whole new medical. The RFE we received stated in the "Other" section that we are only required to submit pages 1 and 5 of the I-693 form which is exactly what we did. We found a Civil Surgeon that charged $30 to transcribe my husband's vaccination sheet from his medical that was done overseas and the blood test that he took here to prove that he had received the chicken pox (Varciella) vaccine since it was missing from his original vaccination record.

Good luck!

Good evening all! Just wanted to let you all know that our status changed to "Welcome notice was mailed." I can't even begin to explain the excitement, but you all probably know that. The online status says that the card should get here before June 15, so I will keep you updated on the date it arrives. Good luck to all of you waiting and congrats to all the approvals!

Congratulations! Joy! Im glad that the USCIS is getting through these applications.. Having been on this thread since December I have felt everyone's joy and sorrow and frustration an I never would have dreamed that the USCIS could/would do this to people lives. Enjoy your moment and say a prayer for other's wont you? :)

Good afternoon everyone :)

Today I received my GC in hands after no tracking update for a day. Hope some of us whose the GC sent last Thurs and before get you GC today!

Nlhernan - did you receive GC in mail?

btw, I did not receive welcome letter (approval notice). just wondering should I have to use it as supporting doc for ROC or citizenship in the future? I think I'm the only one who did not receive it. Should I contact USCIS and ask for this letter?

Congratulations!! Well deserved! :)

Congratulations on your Green Card in hand. The Welcom to America "Letter" is an I-797 with the Notice of Action: WELCOME TO AMERICA. If you haven't gotten it, I would call USCIS (ewww!!) and get them to send you another. That will probably require a SR for "Failure to Receive" (ewww!!!!). But you may need this official document.

Yes we did get my wife's GC today. Our 13th month journey through AOS is finally finished. It only took them 22 days from approval to get it. Oh well, thier last great act of defiance...It's over...

The priority date seems to be the date of the approval of your petition for K-1 visa...

I agree one last act of defiance, although they shouldn't be doing this to your wife after what she has been through its really shameful of them!

MovingOn you must be this week surely! Sorry I've been a bit quiet Shell - keep me up to date please :-)

Good morning Derwood, Good morning Peeps

I will keep you informed. Not been on the forum myself this weekend as my husband has been hijacking my laptop to play Alphabetty saga, its a game like scrabble.

Any way another week and what I want this week God, is for Movin On to get their GC! I think I echo the sentiments of nearly everyone who posts on this thread about that!

Well it was a VERY busy week with approvals and GC's last week so if I haven't acknowledge some posts/posters I apologise, its not that I am ignoring any one, but with so many posts sometimes I miss some of them!

I hope everyone hears something this week, but what I wish for more is that everyone has news that their GC is in production!

May the GC force be with everyone. Good luck!

Good Morning espared12,

Glad you got the Welcome Notice, but shouldn't we all get that when we enter the country? We have a June filer who got approved today, hopefully that means they are just racing through them, before some other visa pops up that makes yet another back log.

I echo your sentiment about MovinOn, we all wait with baited breath on this one, hopefully your daily Green might help them!! :)

Congratulations!! The Sunday approval doesn't surprise me. My fantasy is that they're now working overtime and on weekends to get caught up. :) Quick question: When you contacted the ombudsman, was your local office already working on cases with or after your NOA1 date? Our office is the day before, but I'm thinking about skipping straight to contacting the Ombudsman now instead of a month from now.

We just received notice the GC was mailed today!

Woohoo!!!

Espared12, how was your wife's border crossing with the GC? MUCH better, I imagine?!
