Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case [Part II]

Hey everyone, I have a quick question. We mailed our response to the RFE last week and it was received by USCIS on Thursday, April 9th. Does anyone know how long it takes for the status to change online to response received or response under review? Until now, it still states that they mailed us an RFE and our case is suspending waiting for our response.

Also, any estimates for how long it may take for his case to be approved and receive the welcome letter?

Thanks!

When you get an RFE at this late date it is to complete a perceived (dependent upon the discretion of individual IO's) deficiency in your file. In all reality, your file is provisionally approved pending receipt. Saying your case is suspended is a technical way of saying he or she is not gonna touch your file until he or she gets your response. How long? Again that depends on the IO and how sadistic they are. Our IO called us and we faxed the response in 10 minutes and were approved that afternoon. Yours felt otherwise. Your file is probably in the in box of the IO. When he or she touches it again could be days to a week (generally). You can expect approval very soon...

You've got a long wait for my approval, at this rate around 4 months or more!! At least I know what to expect, I think you and I will be the first one's to say its the not knowing, the mis/disinformation that makes this a particular difficult journey! At least we have the summer, just got my shorts out and prayed that a winter of temptation would still let me fit into them and just about! :)

Hopefully not that long, but I can promise you l'll be here to "Whoop, whoop, whoop!!" you...

This poor soul filed in mid-March, 2014. :(http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/531988-aos-decision-taking-so-long/?p=7578996

Good morning, MovinOn. TGIF (for work) and FFS (for USCIS taking so dang long). :clock:

Well normally 1 week to 2 weeks, although Nlhernan has waited an incredibly long time for his GC. I guess it's how long is a piece of string with the USCIS really! Although normally it should be with you sooner rather than later!

Good morning Movin On hope today is your day, so you can celebrate over the weekend! :)

Good Afternoon you two. I'm not holding my breath lol

It doesn't take long as you try to keep your chin up to get discouraged...you run out of cheeks to turn (all 4 of them)...I know it must be a reality check to newcomers to this and the older thread...the anger and cynicism grows over time. But the friendly support found here made our struggles a little more tolerable. We stay to support the rest of our friends as they too make their way to success. Thank you all.

Thank you Visa Journey for this forum...

Agreed with my whole heart!

Have done my biometrics for renewal EAD today, though it was scheduled for next Monday! My husband works on this Monday. We have one car, so he doesn't want to waste his vacation days on it.. and we decided to try a walk-in. They gave us a hard time, ask to come back in an hour and a half.. But eventually they accepted us! It took 4 minutes.

Been there and have done that many times, wasted a lot of vacation days on the redundancy of this process!

At least you were able to get it done! Good job!

They don't give 2 shakes or a holler about what it takes to make you jump through their hoops.

Speaking about who gives a shake or a holler, what's with that useless lawyer of yours helping you at this late day? Ours kept in touch and sent inquiries. Yeah lawyers are lawyers but ours is ok. As my wife says, "he's our good Russian, Jewish lawyer..."

Still hopin' for you...

I don't' deal with him anymore due to this last snafu with sending the renewal to the wrong address. He has been horrible actually through the whole process. I have had to do many many things myself. His original paralegal quit that I was working with at the beginning and ever since then they have been a mess. So I am going to finish out this process myself. Can't afford to hire another at this time.

Thanks for the hopes! :)

Question: When you get an RFE, does it show at the top on your case status, does the "fingerprint received " get replaced? Or does it show in the lower part under "case history"? I have not received an RFE so I don't know if I should be looking for that.

Question: When you get an RFE, does it show at the top on your case status, does the "fingerprint received " get replaced? Or does it show in the lower part under "case history"? I have not received an RFE so I don't know if I should be looking for that.

In my case, we received an RFE from Sacramento. Our case status never updated on USCIS online to indicate there was an RFE issued nor RFE received.

With absolute astonishment, both my K-1 and K-2 were approved today for AOS. Checked USCIS website as I have done everyday since last June and for the both of them, the beautiful words appeared:

Card Was Ordered To Be Produced

For those of you still waiting, hang in there. I know it's frustrating, but the day will come when you will see those same words appear before you when you check your case status. Very happy day for all of us. :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Good morning, everyone.

USCIS updated my status at 7:30 AM :wow: . which seems to be a good sign for everyone, they are working hard on our cases. :)

On April 16, 2015, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX, to the address you gave us.

But there is no tracking number in the status.

BTW. I have not received the Welcome Notice yet.

We haven't posted in this thread but I wanted to let everyone know that it does seem like they are working through a batch today.

At 9am Jo and I received a text stating our case had been updated. Upon checking online we have:

New Card Is Being Produced

On April 16, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us

We filed our AOS on 4/2/14 and received the NPIW on 7/10/14. It's been 1 year and 3 days but it's happening.

I hope more people watching this thread that are waiting will receive similar updates soon!

Thank you to this forum for all the help and support. I have been lurker on this topic and just want to share my mom's case. Submitted May 05, 2014, NPIW august 13, 2014, did two service request and her case was transferred to Providence local office. Today I got a text that my mom's card is in production!! Finally got her approval! Thank you and praying for those people waiting for so long will get their approval soon!

Good evening all! Just wanted to let you all know that our status changed to "Welcome notice was mailed." I can't even begin to explain the excitement, but you all probably know that. Congrats to all of you on your approvals! You've surely deserved it :)

Question: When you get an RFE, does it show at the top on your case status, does the "fingerprint received " get replaced? Or does it show in the lower part under "case history"? I have not received an RFE so I don't know if I should be looking for that.

My RFE hasn't been mentioned on the case status site; it still says fingerprint fee received.
