Good morning Peeps,

Well a feel a tad better for a long sleep, not been sleeping great lately either... Thanks for all the messages for my card, but I am willing to wait my turn and I have another 4 months ahead of me. Just wish none of us had this wait or insecurities though, shouldn't be this way!

Praying for Movin On today, something has to give right? I must admit USCIS has been very productive this past week or so, perhaps they come on the forum see what it is doing to us and have a heart? Also, hoping Nlhernan get their GC this week. I just don't understand that one it can't be hard to press a button to send a card, right?

Any way to all of you long time waiters I hope you get approved today, to all those waiting for the card to be delivered I hope you get the tracking number.

May the Green Force and Mountain Dew be with you all! :)

Well Peeps, going to bed now.

Today has been quite dreadful, I have found myself so tearful, the pressure of everything is now really getting to me.

Since my husband came home tonight I haven't stopped crying. I couldn't even tell you why, probably the whole damn visa pressure, the pressure of trying to find work in a town that really doesn't have jobs, the homesickness, the weather, the longing of seeing my only child again. I just think the WHOLE damn process has been an awful experience!

I feel quite lost, and lonely especially when my husband is at work. I have recently found myself just withdrawing from everything! I guess it's has all just caught up with me finally! I don't even feel I have the energy or desire to fight the process!

Well done USCIS, if you want to make the people who left their home countries, family, friends, pets and everything they knew sadder then you have succeeded 40 - Love. :(

Give yourselves a big pat on the back!!

I guess tomorrow is another day!

:( Seems like this process is really taking its toll on a few of us. :(

Shell, what about volunteering somewhere? An animal shelter, or a library? Elementary school? When I lived in Michigan, I was always much more depressed during winter. the darker days, cold weather, and oppressive clouds and snow. ugh. But Spring is here, and the change in the weather will brighten your spirits. :goofy:

Unfortunately I don't have a car yet and we live in a gated community which is 4 miles alone to the security gates. No buses, no taxi's..... So even voluntary work would be an issue.

My husband and I have said we will get a car for me once I secure a job as it means another bill for insurance and such. The only decent jobs I can find that I would be happy in are about an hour away, so now we are thinking of moving closer to his work which is also an hour away! Also, my British driving licence is only valid for a year, as is my International driving licence, so I need to have lessons in my husbands car and retake the driving test which means a medical etc. Probably to be told my licence is only valid as long as my EAD. I don't know why they make immigration so complicated! :(

We have a winner, probably the longest wait for a GC that I have seen on here, although correct me if I am wrong! http://www.visajourney.com/forums/user/164536-suhermes/ Well done USCIS, exceptional service!!!!! :)

Congratulations to them!!!! However, I think they did have a RFE but still they had a long time to wait.

I think, I hold the record in this forum as of now. At this point, I just want my renewal of EAD/AP and they can shove the GC wherever they want!!

I echo hopes for MovinOn and Shell...

Val can you tell me when you got the welcome letter were there any other steps to take or you just wait for the card? Our status online this morning changed to Welcome Letter sent but then also said it could take up to 2 months to get card because of ADIT processing. Since we had the EAD/AP card I am figuring that is not relevant?

The welcome letter only welcomed me to the United states (kind of funny after having lived here for over a year) and informed me that I will receive my GC within the next 3 weeks. No other info really.

I received an status update this morning saying card was sent.
