OK to lighten the spirit a bit, my husband bought home a recipe from work and asked me to put it on whilst he was working in the crockpot. It is absolutely delicious!

Ingredients a joint of roasting beef, we used chuck beef, a packet of Ranch dressing, we used Kraft, a packet of Italian dressing again we used Kraft, a packet of brown gravy, we used McCormick. Season the beef with salt and pepper, add two cups of water and all the packets, put on low for 8 hours and bob's your uncle. I used 2 and a half cups of water, but didnt tell my husband! I will even share it with USCIS, as that's the nice person I am! :)

MMMM sounds yummy!!

The difference between an IO like him vs. the one we had is about 2 - 3 weeks. Ours called and took a FAX in one day. This Military Officer wannabe would send an RFE by snail mail and wait for its return by snail mail...

I just want this over!

Dissssssssssgusting...No evidence of an RFE...And they say if you don't file SR's you don't disrupt the process so you get approved faster...Yeah right...

Again, taking cases in order in which they are received really works for NPIW cases, doesn't it???

They did have an RFE, just at a year after filing. here's what they wrote about that: Received letter from USCIS on 2014/06/05 saying that my husband may not need to interview for his greencard. It also said that there would be a 6 month delay in the wait time.

Received a letter saying that we did not include 4 items in our application package. I definitely did include these items. We have 87 days to re-send them to USCIS...

I wonder how long they delayed sending their items in. that is a factor for sure, but still TOO LONG!!! If my file is flagged as not needing an interview, then approve it right then and there. Surely, they actually look at your file before deciding to waive an interview, right?!

True!!! I'm so tired of this, it is so embarrassing to have my husband and all of you coming to this country to watch this incompetence. Training training training and not just how to use a couple of pieces of software and memorize form numbers.

So I was not expecting USPS to deliver my wife's GC until tomorrow. I signed up for USPS status updates and got a delivered sms an hour ago. Ran to the mailbox and there it was. She's in Mexico right now and we were not expecting the GC until tomorrow so I will be wrapping it up and taking it to her today. I can't believe she'll be crossing CBP inspection tonight with her GC.

Then status online read: On April 14, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Ironic since biometrics for renewal EAD/AP was tomorrow...This is such a huge relief and gives hope for anyone else waiting...there have been a lot of approvals suddenly. Lets keep this trend going!

I'm headed out for dinner with friends who just got married on a K1. I'm going to tell them all about the next step on their immigration journey. They are going to love what's to come. They didn't have much in the way of evidence in their K1 packet and got an RFE so I'm expecting they will get selected for interview. I wouldn't be surprised if they get their GC before I do and they sent in their K1 packet two months after I sent in our AOS packet!

Time to eat pizza, drink beer and talk about how USCIS suck.

18 October 2014: Potential interview waiver letter rec'd (Dated: 10/15/2014)

19 May 2015: I-485 approved! (No interview) Welcome letter mailed!

23 May 2015: I-797 (NOA2) Welcome notice received

27 May 2015: Green card received

08 March 2018: Case (allegedly) transferred to the National Benefits Center (presumably for a combo interview)

04 April 2019: ROC approved (as part of N-400 combo interview)

21 February 2018: NOA1 Rreceived

23 February 2018: Biometrics appointment letter received. Appointment 13 March 2018. 

27 April 2018: Interview notice received. Interview Date: June 5, 2018. Request to reschedule sent as out of the country at that time.

04 April 2019: Attended interview ... PASSED!

11 April 2019: Oath ceremony

Great News for us today! GC in production! (almost a year later...) Suddenly in the middle of the day, husband gets text Your case MSCxxx has been updated! Then status online read: On April 14, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Ironic since biometrics for renewal EAD/AP was tomorrow...This is such a huge relief and gives hope for anyone else waiting...there have been a lot of approvals suddenly. Lets keep this trend going!
