Good morning Camtor, Good morning Esperad12, Good Morning Peeps,

I can understand you wanting a rest from the forum, I had one yesterday and spent 8 hours updating, my very outdated CV/Resume and making some tasty beef in a crock pot, it was SO tender and yummy, that took 8 hours too on a low heat.

I know you're past 1 year now Camtor, but that means you can smell the card, it's yours and MovinOn and a few other's time now. I was very surprised about the USCIS processing times, my office seemed to have played catch up, instead of being early August they were nearly mid August, so there does seem to be a gear shift lately with applicants. Although really they couldn't go much slower than they have with AOS without it getting really bad press. I guess the Senators, Ombudsman are getting sick of hearing the same old story about it too!

Any way Peeps, may the Green Force be with you all and can't wait to see lots of approvals today!! :)

Thanks for thinking of us yesterday Shell! :) I was watching the activity through email on my phone but the site dosent work to well on the phone to answer. So I waited until I got home to the computer.

I totally agree with you and I thought about asking for supervisor, but he kept going to the computer and typing and I didn't want him to do anything that would case our case for trouble at the moment. But after we get the GC, then I am going to file a complaint. He does need to loose his job, he seemed very preoccupied with something. I wish we could have just stayed and spoke to the first officer I believe he would have given us a lot more info, but at the time he was the check-in guy.

Yup, Chatsworth office.

And how pathetic that the check in guy knows more than the tool who you ended up having to talk to. I guess I should be glad that our local office for biometrics is Oxnard. I'm sure we'll be back there again, come August. :ranting: And I'd hate to deal with the inefficiency of SFV.

Thank goodness for the first agent. He was more helpful than the second. I hope this infopass triggers an approval for you!

Today is our 1 yr anniversary. Submitted another service request..

Thank you! I wish I could have just stayed with the first guy also. The second guy was a clown.

I hop when you get that response that the return address is a remote field office, because that seems to be the only way that anyone knows for sure where their case is and 60 days after a field office receives your case you will get approval or some type of communication.

They did seem pretty adamant that it was there. I would have likely said, "can you go back and physically check on this?" And not in a nice voice either.

Oxnard is still a bit of a drive for you but It's still closer that Chatsworth and you can drive the coast! :)

The bio side of SVF seemed to have it together and we didn't have a problem really, so I thought the Info pass would go great. Boy was I wrong. They need better training that's for sure. For ALL agents!

The first guy I think was an officer also, because after awhile he moved to a different spot and was helping people like the second guy and someone else took his place at check in. So I think he would have done more but the spot he was in at the time does not allow him to go into detail because that spot has to keep the line moving. Oh well, it's over and now we wait again and see what other fun will come our way.

True!!! I'm so tired of this, it is so embarrassing to have my husband and all of you coming to this country to watch this incompetence. Training training training and not just how to use a couple of pieces of software and memorize form numbers.

Indeed. It's about an hour and 20 min, as we're up north of SB. But it's a nice drive, like you said. I didn't go with them to their first bio appt. They left at about 6:30 and were there before the office even opened. They waited in the parking lot, then about 5 min before 8, a bunch of cars showed up with several occupants getting out and going into the building. They waited a little while, but they were home by noon. and that included stopping at the beach in Ventura! Depending on the timing (school starting up again), I'll go this next time (as I am assuming there will be a next time. How sad is that?!).

True!!! I'm so tired of this, it is so embarrassing to have my husband and all of you coming to this country to watch this incompetence. Training training training and not just how to use a couple of pieces of software and memorize form numbers.

Hello all,,,Wow what a long day. 7 hours including drive time to an infopass appt that lasts 15 minutes.

Went through security and then waited in line for 20 minutes. Got to the window and spoke to a very nice agent and said that our case arrived at the San Fernando Valley office on March 20th ( our local office), I told him I didnt think that was good because that could mean the they need more documents or an interview (which right now I wouldnt mind). He told me no no that may not be the reason at all. I continued to pry and he did say that it was assigned to an agent on April 4th. I asked him about the lost AP appplication and he said that they are issued together and we should get the AP with the EAD..He insisted that is was true.He also said that NPIW cases can go to ANY office and the normal time frame is one year, I told him I knew that already because of the forum that I am a part of. YOU GUYS!! Then he gave us a number and we waited and waited and waited. almost for three hours. Then our number was called and then THAT is when we met the most uninformed officer that I 'm sure was still in high school! I asked where our case was and he confirmed March 20th at the SFV office and I asked when it was assigend to an agent and he said he was not allowed to give me that information. HUH, interesting, but I did not narc out the first agent that told us the date. I asked if they had eveything they needed to approve, he said was not allowed to tell me. He did say it was still condsidered a Interview waiver. Then I asked about the lost AP, He said I had to talk to my attorney, I told him that the attorney did file i, i asked if I could refile the AP, again he said to talk to my attorney, He said he could not give legal advise lol!! I said maybe you dont understand, the attorney filed them both together and the AP was lost, can I file it again or will it come automatic? He said to talk to my attorney and he held up the EAD card and said to me while laughing "this is not a green card" He continued to keep saying that it was not a green card everytime I asked something, I finally grtiied my teeth and clentched my hands together in front of me and Said "I KNOW THAT IS NOT A GREEN CARD!" The guy was clearly not listening to anything I was asking and keep going to his key board and typing with a smile, I felt as though he was answering email to a friend or something. Then I finally asked how long ROC was taking at this time and he looked at me puzzled. My friends...I had to spell it out for him I said "Removal of conditions for a 2 year card" He said "OH" I dont know every case is different. Ifinally told him thank you, because I wasn't getting any where and we left. My husband was so frustrated because he has a 72 year old mother that is in Canada that lives my herself with no family that my husband has to be on alert for at a moments notice. So i''m not sure what we are going to do about the AP at this point. So that my friends is how an info pass goes at the SFV office.. Gosh I'm so glad I wasted a day off work and the gas and time. Congrats to all the approvals!!! Good night

Badge heavy...

I'm from the government, I'm here to help...Yeah right

Can you say useless...

Submit a complaint? Did you get the Gestapo officers name and badge number? After our experience with a great officer, you gotta wonder about the variance. Uniformed officers, non-uniform behavior...Nothing like my years in the US Air Force...

My infopass appointment was almost exactly the same as this in terms of the officer's knowledge and attitude.

How they ever manage to deport anyone is beyond me.

Forget about it now, MovinOn. Think about something nice instead. Have a great day.

And they always suggest if you have problems, schedule an InfoPass appointment...These are not the first episodes of useless, obnoxious experiences...And as MoveOn shows, even when your file is at your own home FO, they are less helpful.

I love Ventura! We go there often!

It should not be where we ALL have to apply for the Renewals! It should be a select few that have some type of issue with the case. I watched them work at a snails pace, So I KNOW this could move a bit faster. Hopefully you will not have to redo the bio. It's just another unnecessary added stress.

My infopass appointment was almost exactly the same as this in terms of the officer's knowledge and attitude.

How they ever manage to deport anyone is beyond me.

Forget about it now, MovinOn. Think about something nice instead. Have a great day.

Thanks Derwood, it's is just so frustrating! blech! You have a great day also!
