I think the card should be with you pretty soon, considering the long period of waiting...

I'd rather not to book flights until I have the card.

Alternatively, you can fly back home now, and have someone mail the GC to you once it's delivered to your US address, in case you need to be at home soon. because you have the approval for I-485 already, it should not be a problem for you to leave the country at this time.

Thank you! I'm not in hurry but really wanna get the card soon :content:

They updated the Card Ordered for Production again today with todays date....over 2 weeks after the first time they said the same thing.

The USCIS nightmare continues...

Congrats...We still wait, Oh well...

Welcome to the club, ours was first ordered on 3/30...

nlhernan, you got a friend....i'm waiting with you...my welcome letter has not sent out yet. Hope they didn't press approve button for me by accident.

I just got woken from a delightful nap by an even more delightful text message from USCIS.

AOS APPROVED!

Wow! Congrats!!!! you don't have to care about EAD renewal anymore :)

Hi all. Long time lurker on this thread. Just chiming in to say we got our approval on Saturday 4/11. Our NOA1 was last April 29th and NPIW letter was dated 7/29, so just shy of a yr from NOA1 date. Hope this will be encouraging to those still waiting. Thanks all for waiting this out together :)

Congratulations!

Congratulations to all of you who got approved today!

I know another person who sent papers on 4/23/14, NPIW 7/29, approved last week on 4/9

I am still waiting... I am losing my patience!!!! Might be my pregnancy causing this too :D

Wow...I believe you approval is coming soon, also congrats for you pregnancy too :)

So it has been rather quiet on the thread today, worried about Movin On right now. Hope you are OK!?!? Any way folks today USCIS updated their field office dates. They go by these dates for your NOA1, so if you out of processing times you make a service request. Well my NOA1 date is the 11th of August, my local field office is the 10th of August. Go figure, now I can't make a service request until next month, but quite frankly and to be totally honest I am past caring!

I know that this is a useless system, I know it's a shambles and I know that other than waiting 45 days for the OMBUDSMAN to get involved there is nothing we can do. Service requests are useless, info passes a waste of time as are politicians or anything really! At the end of the day as you ALL know, our files are still probably rotting at NBC, although they will tell you to the contrary, they will say it's somewhere where it actually isn't! Hey ho ...... as I said a total shambles!

I will however still be on the thread to be here to help other's and rejoice when our fellow posters and friends get the good news of a green card production. Keep your chins up!

Goodnight Peeps! :)

Hello all,,,Wow what a long day. 7 hours including drive time to an infopass appt that lasts 15 minutes.

Went through security and then waited in line for 20 minutes. Got to the window and spoke to a very nice agent and said that our case arrived at the San Fernando Valley office on March 20th ( our local office), I told him I didnt think that was good because that could mean the they need more documents or an interview (which right now I wouldnt mind). He told me no no that may not be the reason at all. I continued to pry and he did say that it was assigned to an agent on April 4th. I asked him about the lost AP appplication and he said that they are issued together and we should get the AP with the EAD..He insisted that is was true.He also said that NPIW cases can go to ANY office and the normal time frame is one year, I told him I knew that already because of the forum that I am a part of. YOU GUYS!! Then he gave us a number and we waited and waited and waited. almost for three hours. Then our number was called and then THAT is when we met the most uninformed officer that I 'm sure was still in high school! I asked where our case was and he confirmed March 20th at the SFV office and I asked when it was assigend to an agent and he said he was not allowed to give me that information. HUH, interesting, but I did not narc out the first agent that told us the date. I asked if they had eveything they needed to approve, he said was not allowed to tell me. He did say it was still condsidered a Interview waiver. Then I asked about the lost AP, He said I had to talk to my attorney, I told him that the attorney did file i, i asked if I could refile the AP, again he said to talk to my attorney, He said he could not give legal advise lol!! I said maybe you dont understand, the attorney filed them both together and the AP was lost, can I file it again or will it come automatic? He said to talk to my attorney and he held up the EAD card and said to me while laughing "this is not a green card" He continued to keep saying that it was not a green card everytime I asked something, I finally grtiied my teeth and clentched my hands together in front of me and Said "I KNOW THAT IS NOT A GREEN CARD!" The guy was clearly not listening to anything I was asking and keep going to his key board and typing with a smile, I felt as though he was answering email to a friend or something. Then I finally asked how long ROC was taking at this time and he looked at me puzzled. My friends...I had to spell it out for him I said "Removal of conditions for a 2 year card" He said "OH" I dont know every case is different. Ifinally told him thank you, because I wasn't getting any where and we left. My husband was so frustrated because he has a 72 year old mother that is in Canada that lives my herself with no family that my husband has to be on alert for at a moments notice. So i''m not sure what we are going to do about the AP at this point. So that my friends is how an info pass goes at the SFV office.. Gosh I'm so glad I wasted a day off work and the gas and time. Congrats to all the approvals!!! Good night

Good night

My infopass appointment was almost exactly the same as this in terms of the officer's knowledge and attitude.

How they ever manage to deport anyone is beyond me.

Forget about it now, MovinOn. Think about something nice instead. Have a great day.

I made a few typos in that last post..sorry about that..so sleepy.....I hope you understood.

Well I read your post and as well as shaking my head with a pulled muscle I just sat there thinking OMG!! Seriously? What is the point in an info pass when they can't give you information that pertains to your case, they aren't the CIA are they, or am I missing something? Absolutely disgraceful that they don't SEEM to have any knowledge. Makes you wonder what he/she was doing on a computer screen, perhaps having a game of Candy Crush or probably reading our thread as they were laughing!

At least you know now that your file is rotting in the NBC along with mine and Derwood. I don't need an info pass to know where my file is at this stage as it has a few months to gather mildew yet! Normally takes around 30 days for them to open your file, wonder if they put a mask on when they do, so they don't get at that accumulated dust on their chest?

You're at the finishing line and I am happy for you. Now you can enjoy the following days knowing that very, very shortly they are going to press that approve button! :)

I read MovinOn's post and I was just sat there with my mouth open thinking OMG, then I read yours and I nearly choked on my cup of tea! I love your sense of humour, simply hilarious!!!!! :)

Well Hello everyone. Congratulations to everyone who got approved recently! It is really great. No news for my wife at all. I took some time off from this thread and from checking the status on the USCIS site. I just couldn't look at the same status any longer. We are officially passed one year mark... Let's see what this week will bring. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!
