Can somebody please point (or list them here) to the checklist of documents needed to be sent for EAD/AP renewal?

I know there are multiple posts out there but I want to be sure which one of them is most accurate. Each one of them has slight variations.

We got the now infamous and dreaded NPIW letter in July 2014 and submitted our EAD and AP renewal right at 120 days.

Please see the attached cover letter with 2 lists annexed to it detailing the documents we submitted for the renewal of both. Each application package was in a separate folder but submitted together (i.e same mailing envelope) with just the one cover letter. It was accepted and we got an appointment for new biometrics shortly after.

We did the biometrics for the EAD renewal but fortunately as is the case with a lot of us on here now, the I485 green card finally got approved so they will probably automatiEAD and AP Renewal Cover Letter.pdfcally cancel the EAD/AP renewal.

Found the answer to my earlier concerns about my drivers licence and renewal!

http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/dl_non_renewable_transferable.stm

Looks like Ohio has some strict laws on immigrants when it comes to documentation. Hoping that (again, if the green card doesn't come before June...) the EAD will do the trick, else I'll be unable to drive.

You can apply for that without the green card, I think.

I've got myself a checking account and credit card no problem without a GC - only need the SSN. Wanted to start to build up a credit history early, so at least it'll be a good number when the green card comes and a mortgage potentially rolls around.

They want me to be a permanent resident or citizen. My FICO scores are 740+ now. I have pretty good credit. And a couple of credit cards, although they won't give me an auto loan for longer than my EAD.

Congratulations and Celebrations!!! Enjoy!

4 days short of a year, wow they were in a hurry weren't they!! Not!! Ive been shaking my head that much lately that I have to admit Ive actually pulled a muscle! Painful!

Any way go out and celebrate and say a prayer for those waiting for such a long time, wont you!?!

Hope so!! Praying for you! :)

Im wondering if it differs in regional states. Haven't got a clue how to start the credit file ladder, but not really bothered about it until I get my GC and become a legal resident. Tick Tock! :(

Get your spouse to add you as an Authorized User, that should give your account a kick start. Then apply for credit a couple of months after that. Edited by KVE

Good morning Peeps,

Thanks Espared12 for the interesting news article, thanks Zcomuto for the article regarding driving licences in Ohio and thanks KVE for the info regarding building a credit score.

Well another week ahead and another step towards our ultimate goal of finally getting our GC. My husband finally filed our taxes this weekend and it was interesting to watch him. Shame we can't claim tax back on all the legal fees we have paid to our lawyer, or claim tax back for the expensive immigration fees. Up to now all I can see is much the same as the government and businesses at home that just want our money. We the people, the voters say we want what we actually paid for!!! Not much to ask is it?

Any way Movin On isn't is your day for your info pass? Hope it goes well and they sort it out TODAY!

. Finally Guys I hope you ALL get your GC this week. Hope the ombudsman also steps up to the mark this week, been a few weeks now since you sent the form and they said up to 45 days. Wishing and praying for you all! Good luck! :)

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

I've been visiting this thread for quite some time and just wanted to chime in. NOA 1 was 5/14/14. We were apart of the NPIW crew as well (letter received in August 2014). At the beginning of March (I can't remember the exact date) I submitted a e-request. On 3/31/15, they mailed out a letter pretty much saying sorry for the inconvenience but keep waiting. On 4/10/15, I received the notification that the card had been ordered and the welcome notice was mailed.....FINALLY! 5 days passed our 1 year anniversary and 1 month shy of waiting for 1 year. Hang in there folks....approvals are coming...slowly but surely lol

CONGRATULATIONS to both of you...They took a big jump and you are both more than 1 month short of 1 year; you are very lucky. Enjoy! Strong work for both...

I guess USCIS has decided to pass over the remaining March, most of the April and the early May filers...Hard to explain...Frustrating for many...Again so much for adjudication files in the order in which they were received...
