Timeline

Good morning everybody. I am a long time lurker but new to you. I am also in the AOS journey under a different category, the Cuban Adjustment Act. I want to congratulate all of you that had been approved and wishing everyday for a very soon and deserved approval to those waiting for near a year, a year or past a year already. Just not acceptable like we all know.

Eventhough we are not adjusting status through family based (K1) i want to share with you the fact that we also received the dreadful NPIW.

I submitted my aplication July 3rd, 2014, NOA1 July 8th 2014. Biometrics Aug 1st, 2014, NPIW dated Oct 15, 2014. I was not alone in this process, i submitted my application together with my 3 very young daughters and my mother at the same time. At the end of September my mother's status changed to interview but we never received a mail with instructions and date. Then in October we all received the NPIW including her. At that time i thought she might not need the interview anymore, i then started to google this interview waiver thing so i came across this site which is my hope every afternoon when i come to read and in hopes that at least someone got approve. At the very end of november i put on a request about that interview status on her receipt, within 10 days i have a mail with all the instructions and date for an interview for her, January 14, 2015 was her day, we went and she got approved that night via text, and within 10 days she got her GC. We, on the other hand, are still wating like the rest of the NPIW club.

My long story was to introduce myself, tell you a bit about our case, and last but sure not least to THANK YOU for this forum.

Have a great weekend everyone and hoping for a great next week to be full of approvals specially those feb and March filers to finally get their GC!

I'm lost for words and I'm sorry you're going through this. Your case and MovinOn's are making me mad at the moment. Too long, far too long. FFS!

Keep smiling and think nice thoughts (if you can) :-)

OK guys, I'm opening an Ombudsman enquiry for our case. What's the link please?

Hang on a minute, what checklist? Have I missed a post? Can you blank out the personal details, photograph this checklist and upload it to the thread please?

Also, isn't it you that have your second wedding anniversary coming up in June? If so you need to re-arrange this interview to after that date. You can do that online I think. Tell them there's insufficient time to get the documents together. Tell them anything. Tell them you cant get time off work without 60 days notice.

Would you have time to update your signature too please. It helps a lot to be able to see the dates at a glance.

I believe there's a way to expedite the request for a CBC, but it costs in the region of £40 on top of the cost of the certificate.

What exactly are they needed for? I've not had any request for one at all during AOS, only for the initial K1 visa. I don't think the ombudsman will require them either.

Shaking my head about your interview........ really? I think someone at USCIS has got it all totally back to front, perhaps a new starter who hasn't got a clue?

Police certficate? I don't understand that one. How can they want one when they had one for K1 and you havent lived in the UK since then? Imagine that, last address for UK police certificate a USA one, the police will think you have lost the plot! Sorry still shaking my head from what Ive been reading on the thread since last night!

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

First, Congrats to all who got approved! :dancing:

Second, last march 3, i sent an SR and their reply was my husbands case is still at NBC... so after a month, April 3rd, i sent another SR and their reply was waiting my inquiry to be assigned to a representative and no further updates after that...

So, today we checked our mail, and we received an RFE letter dated April 3rd! I am so disappointed and all! and now my husbands medical and vaccination is expired, well of course since we've been waiting for so long, few more days and it's a year since we submitted the I-485.. that's not out fault! And plus, i have a copy of what i sent to them and i did send all those.. Aarrgh! Am so upset!

Anyway, here's a copy of our letter!

Does my husband have to do the whole medical again?? or just the vaccination record??

What other evidence can we provide?? Pls. Help!

Thanks!

If it were us, we'd have a civil surgeon do just what is asked for: the I-693. Of course, their punctuation is horrible; who knows what they're actually asking for! I noticed NOTHING is checked as to the reason for this request. Odd. I have, however, read of those who had to do a G-325 while at the interview. We sent one in for both of us with his petition.

Hi Gio Girls, thanks for sharing your experiences, it is through peoples experiences we can share knowledge of the process for newbies, although it is very daunting when you see posts like I have seen this morning. :(

Welcome to the forum and hoping you will get the Green stuff shortly! :)

Firstly, I congrats for anyone who recently got approved.

Secondly, I hope everyone who still waiting will get approval soon such as MovingOn, KVE, Derwood, Shell20, etc.

Lastly, I want to ask a question relating to my driver license(DL). I receive my GC today and my DL will expire soon. Do I need to wait for 1-2 weeks before going to DMV so that USCIS has time to update my GC in their system or just go on Monday? Thanks.

Aww thanks but I know mine is a long way off yet, 8 months since filing and counting! I can't advise you on the driving licence, but it does make sense to wait for them to up date their systems. You know they aren't in much of a hurry to do anything. :(

Hello,

I am a April 2014 filer as well though my application was employment based, and not family based.

I just received my approval today - 4 days short of the 1 year anniversary!

Congratulations and Celebrations!!! Enjoy!

4 days short of a year, wow they were in a hurry weren't they!! Not!! Ive been shaking my head that much lately that I have to admit Ive actually pulled a muscle! Painful!

Any way go out and celebrate and say a prayer for those waiting for such a long time, wont you!?!

Bewitching hour..maybe next week... maybe will find out some news at the Infopass on Monday...maybe not.

Hope so!! Praying for you! :)

I want my Green Card so I can apply for the Discover Cashback Checking account! Hopefully the Cleveland Officer will get my file and approve it soon! It's been 2 weeks, feels like 3 months.

Im wondering if it differs in regional states. Haven't got a clue how to start the credit file ladder, but not really bothered about it until I get my GC and become a legal resident. Tick Tock! :(

An rfe when you filed over a year ago, they have to be joking!! Disgraceful! Are they going to pay for it? I would personally be making a complaint if they did it to me as it their fault and you have to pay for their mistakes. The ombudsman isn't just there for enquiring at the progress of an application it is also there for complaints! I should imagine regarding the medical it would just be the vaccination record. I don't know whether or not your injections are current or one is due. I would ring up the USCIS and ask before paying for a whole medical again!

Pls. Help!

Thanks!
