I have also managed to open checking accounts, savings accounts and several credit cards since being here too and have built up my credit score to 'Very Good'. Each day a few pre-approved credit card offers drop into the mailbox. I wish my geeencard was pre-approved and I wish it would drop into the mailbox.

I was able to open a checkings &savings account as well as credit card and I was able to get my SSN within a week after I got married.

I hope you and everyone still waiting get their approvals soon!

Firstly, I congrats for anyone who recently got approved.

Secondly, I hope everyone who still waiting will get approval soon such as MovingOn, KVE, Derwood, Shell20, etc.

Lastly, I want to ask a question relating to my driver license(DL). I receive my GC today and my DL will expire soon. Do I need to wait for 1-2 weeks before going to DMV so that USCIS has time to update my GC in their system or just go on Monday? Thanks.

First, Congrats to all who got approved! :dancing:

Second, last march 3, i sent an SR and their reply was my husbands case is still at NBC... so after a month, April 3rd, i sent another SR and their reply was waiting my inquiry to be assigned to a representative and no further updates after that...

So, today we checked our mail, and we received an RFE letter dated April 3rd! I am so disappointed and all! and now my husbands medical and vaccination is expired, well of course since we've been waiting for so long, few more days and it's a year since we submitted the I-485.. that's not out fault! And plus, i have a copy of what i sent to them and i did send all those.. Aarrgh! Am so upset!

Anyway, here's a copy of our letter!

Does my husband have to do the whole medical again?? or just the vaccination record??

What other evidence can we provide?? Pls. Help!

Thanks!

1) Request G-325A for your spouse and 2 passport photos. They asked your husband or you? My husband (USC) did not submit G-325A or his photos.

2) I would include photo of you guys together with friends or family, trips, joint bank account, joint credit cards, health care card, car insurance, driver license for both of you, title of car, car's registrations, lease/ mortgage agreement, any paper that has both names on such as electric, phone bill, etc, and form 1040 or tax transcript, Note that all the documents I say above need to have both names. You might not have everything but try to gather all documents that you can.

3) Wording is vague. I would recommend to do the whole medical because they did mention your husband medical exam is expired. Vaccinations could not expire.

>> THEY ASKED FOR MINE (USC PETITIONER); WHICH I DON'T KNOW WHY

>> FOR NOW, HE DOES NOT HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE COZ WHERE WE LIVE, THEY NEED HIS GREEN CARD TO APPLY

>> WE DO HAVE PICS OF WEDDING, PICS WITH FRIENDS... WE HAVE A JOINT BANK ACCOUNT -- I GUESS I NEED TO ASK THE BANK FOR A CERTIFICATE RIGHT?

3) Wording is vague. I would recommend to do the whole medical because they did mention your husband medical exam is expired. Vaccinations could not expire.

>> I KNOW, IT'S SO VAGUE.. MY POOR HUSBAND, HE REALLY DOES NOT WANT TO UNDERGO ANOTHER MEDICAL, HE GOT TRAUMATIZED FROM THE FIRST ONE LOL!

Thank You!

It is so weird if they asked your G-325A and 2 photos, I guess you have to give them what they asked for. Also, you should make a copy of RFE letter for your record. I would use bank statements that have both names on. EAD cant apply for driver license? Did he have state ID?

No state ID either. He has EAD/AP card. I don't know why but they won't accept EAD card as proof, they want green card, really frustrating

I would include the whole bank statement where it shows name and transactions. I would include 1 bank statement/3 months.

It looks like to me that you live in Texas, and I just read the requirements for driver license. It is indeed taking EAD or you can use I-94 with the receipt of I-485. You might ask the supervisor who is in charge of that office. There are Texan people in this thread and I am sure they know better than I am. Ok, i will do that. Regarding the drivers license, i will check the link you sent me. I went to dps twice before and that's what they told me, they need green card. but i will try again, maybe il get a more knowledgeable officer lol

and the pics, do i have to send original pics?? (coz that would be a LOT) can i send an album? hahaha! or can i just print them out in a paper?

Am still wondering why all these are being asked.. from what i read somewhere, these stuff are usually provided during interview.. maybe because we're not getting an interview? i dunno.. sigh!

thank you once again

Ok, i will do that. Regarding the drivers license, i will check the link you sent me. I went to dps twice before and that's what they told me, they need green card. but i will try again, maybe il get a more knowledgeable officer lol

and the pics, do i have to send original pics?? (coz that would be a LOT) can i send an album? hahaha! or can i just print them out in a paper?

Am still wondering why all these are being asked.. from what i read somewhere, these stuff are usually provided during interview.. maybe because we're not getting an interview? i dunno.. sigh!

thank you once again

I would print out the document that shows in the website and if they still deny then ask to speak to Supervisor or Manager. Since the RFE mentions about driver license and I am not sure whether they asked for it or a suggestion. Also, instead of submitting DL, he can submit a state ID which he can get more quicker. I got my state ID in the same day in Florida and of course, it will be different between states. If he cant get ID and no DL, then I would recommend to write a letter to explain why he did not have either DL and state ID.

To be honest, I have no idea how to deal with photos. I have submitted photocopy in my I-129F instead of original.

I would choose few pictures in different events and no more than 15. I guess you can submit the original if you have saved those pictures in memory card for your record.

Again, you need to gather most documents that have both names on as possible as I stated early ( joint tax, bank account, lease/mortgage agreement, pictures, etc.). Most of NPIWs were not asked to prove the marriage. It might be random.

Timeline

Pls. Help!

Thanks!

I would send in anything you can think of that has both of your names listed: lease/rental agreement, car insurance, bills, things like that.

As for the medical, it looks like you need the full work up as we had to do. Call around to civil surgeons near you to find the best price. They typically only accept cash. Get a receipt! Ours cost $200.

With the pictures, I would just print them on regular paper and add captions with dates, places and people listed.

But what I'm not understanding is this "last request: two cases, two sets of documents". Is there a K2 in your case? With the way that reads, you need to send in 2copies of everything. I'm baffled.
