What are we doing wrong??

Congrats!

You're not doing anything wrong!!! It's the whole system and not enough staff. There needs to be restructure within the USCIS. We can only blame this on the "Organ Grinder", the people at the top who are in charge of actually organising the company! Right now its in a shambles!

Congrats!

I wish I knew

I was talking to my mother yesterday to see how she felt about the long wait she said she doesn't even notice how it's been a year she told me she felt comfortable just having her work authorization card since she hasn't been back to her country in 25 years and I guess she doesn't plan to

Hello again guys! So I jst talked to another tier 2 and she is super nice and actually gave me good answers to my questions. She didnt have a problem with my receipt number so Im guessing it was just the previous tier 2's fault that he was seeing a different name with my receipt number. She said that my case was transferred to my local field office last March 26 and If i dont get an update within 30 days to call again. We have an infopass appointment next week and hopefully we get a decision soon. We have a trip book in 2 weeks so Im still hopeful that I will get approved soon.

Normally takes around 30 to 60 days at a field office, normal is around 30ish from what I have seen from past approvals! So good luck and thanks for sharing! :)

It was actually a delight talking to her because I felt that she was really trying to help me the best way she can. My local field office is in Houston and that is where she said my case is at :)

It is a very strange feeling watching others get approvals all around ours. Unsettling to the stomach, will have to see the Dr. again about that....

Yes, something has to be done about this! Writing to Sentors, congressmen, heads of USCIS.

Ah, at least you don't have those bio metrics for a while now! Its a 2 and a half hour drive for us and a day off work for my husband to take me, for a five minute appointment..

Ouch, that's a long drive.

MovinOn I'm right there with you. We filed for my husband on 04/01/2014 and haven't heard anything since our NPIW on 07/10/2014. It's frustrating that no one at USCIS knows what is going on =/

Well hello! Yes, its very troubling to me, a little more than I bargained for. Was not expecting this type of thing. I thought K-1 was rough. Very frustrating!

Hi everyone, long time lurker and some time poster. I feel like we've been on a journey together and today my wife received notice that her card is in production! You're actually the first people we're telling about this. It's an unreal feeling and a massive weight off of our backs.

Now my question is -- we applied for the EAD/AP renewal about two weeks ago and actually received the NOA's yesterday! How will they process that now or will they just ignore it?

Hope everyone is doing well and hang in there!

Congratulations! About time! We had already received the acceptance notices for EAD/AP card renewal and even the Biometrics appointment. I told my wife to ignore it but she insisted that I call. We called yesterday tier 2 said they would notify the office that she would not be showing up at the appointment. She got a call this morning confirming she did not have to show up and was told she would soon receive her GC in the mail.

Congratulations! I think that it's fairly unusual for a NPIW case to be transferred to your own local office - usually it goes somewhere obscure. I wonder if that means you're going to get called for interview?

Natonstan what happened with you? Your local office was Houston wasn't it? Did we ever find out which office pressed approve for you?

As for my office visit today, I think I'll drop the Cincinnati office manager a letter telling her how frustrating I found my appointment and how disappointed I was that a senior officer didn't understand their own adjudication process ... then .... da, da darrr ... it's time for the Ombudsman.

That, I don't know. The last mail that I received from them was that my case was transferred to reno. But then when I talked to the tier 2 earlier, she said that it was transferred to Houston last March 26 from Nbc. Strangely, I received the mail dated march 26. So I'm still confused. I don't know if they sent it back to houston the same day. I guess I'll know if it's in my local field office when I go to my info pass appt. As what another customer service representative told me, Houston office is already processing June 2014 filers.Sorry to hear that you're appointment didn't go well Edited by Akshinn
