Wrong card! :(

They aren't on our time zone, add a couple of hours onto that wait!

Seems they like to send messages half past the hour, (30 minutes after the hour) must be a USCIS thing!

I still did not receive the welcome notice yet. It could deliver to my old address.

New Journey AOS:

My fiancee came to US on the 8th of March, 2014 under K-1 visa at Newark, NJ Airport for POE.

Applied Social Security Number on the 10 of March, 2014.

Married on the 13th of March, 2014.

Sent I-485, I-765, and I-131 on the 15th of March, 2014.

Received EAD on June 7, 2014.

Received Notice of Potential Interview Waiver on July 1, 2014 date 6/27

Contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015.

Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015.

Ombudsman sent a follow up to USCIS on 03/18/2015.

I-485 approved on 03/31/2015 ( we ordered your card).

Welcome notice was mailed on 04/01/2015.

Received Welcome Notice on 04/08/2015.

Card was mailed to me/picked up by USPS on 04/08/2015.

Received GC on 4/10/2015.

Prediction 04/08/2015

Don't believe tier 1. I spoke with numerous tier 1 supervisors that confirmed that tier 1 does not have to ability to see the location of your application. I hope tier 2 is able to confirm location and open service request to that location for you. Before you hang up, make sure to confirm location several times, transfer date, and service request case number. Make sure the last letters of the service request match the location of your application. Best of luck to you!

Did they say when it arrived at the Los Angeles office?

The lady told me that all she can see was that it wasn't at my local office which is SFV that it was at the Los angeles county field office

That she would transfer me over to tier2 because she didn't have access to see the date it was transferred over to the field office

I did ask her if she was just giving me bullshyt to feel like she was doing a good job of giving me some type of information or she was really reading the information from her screen

She said she was giving me the only information that she could see on her screen

I thought it would be helpful to share our case history. You will be able to see the numerous, useless service requests that USCIS opened for us and sent to El Paso, TX. The application was never in El Paso, TX. We experienced the same long waits to get information from the service requests. My best guess is that the El Paso, TX field office received these requests, and instead of being forthright and honest about the application not being in their office, they would just reply with their usual reply or sorry for delays, blah blah blah. This is happening to many of us waiting of these service requests to be answered. The incompetence of USCIS to send a service request to a location they know is incorrect is unacceptable. It was not until a service request was finally sent to NBC and not El Paso on March 27th, that my wife's application was moved to Harlingen, TX. That service request was opened on March 27th and closed March 28th. I don't think the majority of people at USCIS have a clue as to what is going on. All these useless service requests that are being opened are just causing more and more delays while they figure out that the application is not at that office. This is very frustrating even now that my wife has been approved. I can't stand to see this continue to happen, and I will do as much as I can to help all of you.

Thanks for that info!. So, the SR and WKD requests, when you received them by email or mail box, were all of those addressed from Lee's Summit?

Because all of our requests have the last letters as SFV (San Fernando Valley) have been addressed from Lee's Summit. So I dont think our case has ever been at the San Fernando Valley office.

Im honestly super mad at the way I was just treated by the stupid USCIS employee

I kept asking her questions and her answer to everything single question was " the wait for interview waved cases is 2 years we are going to kee telling you to wait 30 60 90 days till you get a desicion on April 2nd your case got to Los angeles"

Said that about 5 times then just out of the nowhere said " oh man theirs no getting through to you people have a nice day"and hanged up

The address on the envelopes would be the NBC. My guess here would be since the requests were not directed to them all NBC would do was notify the El Paso office, wait for response, which a few service requests were never completed, and then they would send their famous sorry for the delays letters with their address. Since the las service request was directed to the NBC they had to physically look up and see what was going on internally in their office and once they saw this dusty old app sitting there they sent it off to Harlingen. This is my theory. Edited by espared12

My wife and son's EAD/AP cards will expire at the end of September. We got our NPIW in October of 2014. When do I need to renew their EAD/AP cards? Do I just refile the same paperwork? Do we have to pay again? Is there a guide for renewal for EAD/AP, similar to the initial process?

Where exactly do I go to check on the NPIW status?

Sorry, was hoping at the 6 month mark, we would know what was going on, and I wouldn't have to ask these questions.

Thanks

Wow, I would ring back and ask about their complaint procedure. I would definitely not let any one speak to me that way and think it is ok! I rang up the social security office when they told me I was out of time due to their lack of knowledge and asked what their complaint procedure was. The outcome was I received a return call and my social security card finally! I would do the same if I was spoken to that way by a tier 2 officer. I would be sending an email to the director and demanding a call back from Tier 3!

Good news your file is in Los Angeles if it really is? As I am writing this reply I can't see your local field office, but I am hoping it's not Los Angeles as I don't think many cases go to their local office to be adjudicated!

You can file for renewal 120 days before expiry on the EAD cards. If you are out of processing times which normally will go with your NOA1, you can do a service request online. You need to look at the processing times of your local office to see if it will allow this.
