Feels good, doesn't it? Congrats!

We received Welcome Letter on 07/25/15.

When I mailed our RFE, I sent the sealed envelope, the original RFE form, a copy of I-485 notice, a copy of the completed biometrics notice for the I-485 and a cover letter stating what was enclosed. I don't know if that had anything to do with why are case was approved a little faster than others after sending the RFE or if maybe because our congressman contacted our local office directly on our behalf. I am not sure of any of this. I DO know that filing on April 1st 2014 and not being approved until July 18, 2015 is way too long.

It's about stinkin' time! Woooo!

Thanks for clearing that up. I was trying to save us some money since we will be back in India anyway, but oh well. I've heard sometimes they let expired medicals slide so maybe we will get lucky.

The CS in your country pointed by the US embassy whereas CS in here pointed by USCIS. It means you have to get medical exam from an CS who is listed on the USCIS website because adjust of status under USCIS jurisdiction not the embassy ( U.S. Department of State) anymore.

Also, FYI, only the doctors on the USCIS list know the procedure. Meanwhile CS in your county follow the requirement from the US embassy. And each embassy has their own requirements. For instance, there are some applicants from some certain countries need to undergo drug test while the other ones don't have to.

USCIS under DHS while U.S. embassies under U.S. Department of State. They both have separate jurisdiction.

Not everyone would automatically will get RFE for medical. Some others did not have to though the medical was already expired. Just keep in hope they won't ask a medical for RFE. Or probably you won't get any at all.

We were lucky that we weren't asked to redo the medical. My wife had her medical last June 2014 so would have been expired last month. In our RFE they only asked us for relationship proof and updated G-325As.

I received my card in the mail yesterday. I will check the forum for a bit. Good Luck to everyone waiting! Girl from Celebes...I believe I am lucky to get the card in 11 months. Congratulations to you as well!

Thank you. I am also praying for the rest of us will have theirs soon. Nice to see others have approval especially to those who applied earlier.

Yes, you and your wife were very lucky. That's what I said to another poster that it is not always they sent RFE for redo medical. Could be something else or maybe not get any RFE at all. Some people just got lucky got escaped from the "RFE's nightmare".

Wow, I'm sorry, about what's happening to you, Waiting without no reason is very uncomfortable, try calling the USCIS and tries to talk to a Tier 2.
