USCIS has just started transferring cases around again but it shouldn't affect your case http://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/workload-transfer-within-service-center-operations

Experiences on this thread tell us that until you get a letter / RFE from a local office other than your own, your case is at the NBC. If you get told by Tier 2 that your case is not at the NBC it probably is. If you get told by Tier 1 that your case is not at the NBC it definitely is.

In your case they probably ran out of NBC headed paper and used Vermont's stock instead, or moved the printer there.

Lol , that made me laugh thanks! My work out and your sense of humor made my day better. I'm just getting so annoyed with it like many of us others. I'm so thankful for visa journey.

Congratulations! :) Finally! :)

Well it is offical:

attachicon.gifUntitled.jpg

I could say it's about time, but I've said that already. I could say we are happy, but you know that. I can also tell you that I am still angry. Finally got a call from my Senators office about an hour ago and I told the staffer, "Thanks but no thanks." But I did launch into a major league concern for the many of us who have and continue to wait. This bureacratic nightmare (unrelated to the overall immigration question) must be dealt with...

We are happy and it perked up my recovering wife. Now (as soon the GC is in hand) she can start the petitioning for her adult son...and that will take a LONG time...

Thank you all for listening to my somewhat jaded, cynical and sometimes humerous posts...I am also not leaving. This battle must be fought by all of us until decisions are made in a reasonable period of time...

Congratulations! :) I do think they work on Saturdays too since i received an update about my Green Card being in the mail today, Saturday. It is now in my hands :)

So, I got home from being oot & aboot, and there was the reply to the SR I submitted Feb 14 sitting in my mailbox. I mentioned earlier that I received an e-mail this afternoon stating that my I-485 was approved.

The letter states:

--------------------------

On February 14, 2015, you or your representative contacted USCIS, concerning your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Resident or Adjust Status, to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Our records indicate that you are waiting to be scheduled for an interview. Your case is currently in suspense until the interview date. You will receive a letter with the date, time, and location for your interview within 6 months. Please follow any instructions on that notice.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

--------------------------

So if I hadn't received the e-mail this afternoon, I would be soiling my pants right now! I filed at the end of April 2014, Fingerprint Fee notice May 13, 2014, Waiver Letter August 13, 2014 - then this letter saying there's an interview pending and to give them another 6 months?!

As happy as I am that I received the e-mail, I'll be a little on edge until I have the green card in hand.
