my husband got an RFE from CSC to get another medical exam, i know he's not the first this has happened to but we are beyond frustrated anyways because every little thing has gone wrong and we're sick of dealing with immigration. he got his exam last march so it's been almost a year but they've also had our application at csc for over four months now, and he had to spend a LOT of money to travel to and get the first one. we have shed too many tears over this ordeal.

i hope no one else has as much trouble as we've had so far...

good luck everyone

~Jess

I am sorry to hear this, I imagine most of us that have been there this long were just expecting to be stuck in namecheck hell. Have you looked at Ridley's thread on this..he got an RFE and made an INFOPASS appointment. The full medical was NOT needed. Check it out.

Here's the link to my thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53757

(I'm a she :))

I would definitely recommend getting an Infopass appointment just to be safe, but at our Infopass appointment, the officer acted as though she sees these all the time. She told us to send back:

- the I-693A

- a copy of my husband's K-1 visa

- a note indicating that my husband received his medical exam within a year of filing, and that those records could be found in our file.

We're hoping to pick up our I-693A today and to get the response sent back to California. I'm still nervous, because of Anastasia's thread (linked to from the one I posted above), but I'm hoping we're doing the right thing here.

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

his rfe said he did not need the vaccination supplement, that they already had that information (which i wasn't expecting because we decided to send the supplement he was given rather than the I693A)

we may make an infopass appointment but our "local" office is in Memphis, a good 8-9 hours away. the big problem is we are going back to scotland next month since he hasn't seen his family in over 7 months (everything is booked and paid for-no refunds) and neither of us are going to have any more days off work to travel. a civil surgeon is closer (only 2 hours) but we only have 3 choices (one listed on uscis website does not do the medical exams apparently) and there's no telling about the cost.

i read the thread posted, and thanks so much for the information... ridley i hope everything turns out all right, thanks for everyone's support

have a great weekend

That still sounds weird! I don't know what's up exactly with wanting the new medical exams, when the old ones are still valid.

Best wishes, and I hope all works out for the best!
