Please help!!
I wrote in my question 34 (statement on how we met) of I-129F petition that we met 'on dating website' instead of just 'online'.

I received a RFE stating that 'you indicated that you met... Through services of international marriage broker, as it is a business that charges fees ...'

And they want the corresponding paperwork (consent copy).

1. The website we met on does not charge fees- it is a community type site, like Facebook, and it is free
2. I DID NOT indicate that we met through IMB (put 'no' for question 35)- did they just overlook this? I clearly marked 'no' box.
3. The paperwork that they want simply does not exist.

Any help? What do I do now?

Why don't you print the page out of your conversations, make sure the url is printed as well, and attach the cover page where you will CLEARLY clarify the situation and address the RFE?

Ie

We met online on the site (http://xxx.xxxxxxx.xxx) on xx/xx/xxxx, as shown on the exhibit A /include printout of the conversation or whatever you can find/

The website does not charge for a membership

This is a new topic that I was not aware of. My wife and I met online, but not through a broker. It was a pay site where our conversations started almost two years ago, but on my 129f, I answered yes to 34, then stated "see attached documents and photographs" on 34a. We answered no on 35. My wife and I both submitted statement of how our relation started and how it progressed including initially meeting on the website. We never had any additional questions asked.

Not sure if we were lucky, or just stupid, but she is here, and just was approved for her GC.

Good Luck!
