I - 864

I have my interview in february and i downloaded the affidavit...can someone tell me which version of the I 864 is good??? i have the version that expires 09/30/06 i couldnt find a more recent one....

if someone can help me , please.... if you have a more recent one maybe you can send me a link??

Asked so many times I just cut and paste the answer from other posts.

That is the date that USCIS has to make suggest any changes to the form to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), not when the form will no longer be accepted, it is not the expiration date of the form just the date that suggestion period expires.

USCIS will continue using that form until they decide to make changes.

See the date at the top of form I-864 for example, it expired 11/01/06, they are still using it

thank you for your answer...my husband managed to find the affidavit from 2007 and ive noticed now its on uscis page too....

i read on the pinned thread about the I 864 that it doesnt have to be notarized anymore??IS THAT TRUE?? can someone please tell me??

i went to my notary public yesterday and when she wanted to notarize it she told me the part where she writes and puts the stamp and everything is missing so now i dont know what to do.

please someone help me !!

We didn't have to notarize I-864 anymore. We submitted it together with our AOS application last January. I have my interview in March, and will be bringing a copy only.

have a look Who May Use Form I-864EZ?

You may use Form I-864EZ IF ALL the following conditionsapply:

1. You are the person who filed or is filing the Form I-130,Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;

2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed onthe Form I-130 petition;

3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely onyour salary or pension and is shown on one or more FormsW-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s).

Who May Not Use Form I-864EZ?

You must complete Form I-864 (and not Form I-864EZ) if any of the following conditions apply:

1.The relative you are sponsoring is not the only personimmigrating based upon the underlying visa petition;

2. You filed or are filing a Form I-140, Immigrant Petitionfor Alien Worker, for the immigrant you are sponsoring;

3. You are a joint sponsor;

4. You are a "substitute sponsor" filing because the original I-130 petitioner is deceased.
