In the U.S. the goal of the vocal minority homosexual community is equal "marriage" union rights.

By their constant screeching over the past decades they have garnered the support of the liberal community, who, as history has shown, will "bend over ..... backwards" for any "cause" .... (as a solid "voting bloc" of course).

Anyone opposing this vocal (screeching) minority is labeled a bigot. You know, if you throw something against a wall eventually some will stick -standard propaganda technique refined by the Nazis and Soviets.

After achieving legalized "marriage unions" it is obvious that the next goal will be utilizing the U.S. Immigration Laws to petition for their "significant others" from other countries so they can be "joined together".

K-1 Fiancé Visas for male partners, or would it be Fiancee? - not sure of the wording for two males seeking legal union.

Raising a family is a non-issue since adoptions are considered equivalent to "childbearing".

I don't get your point, are you somehow threatened by the possibility of the scenario you described? How does the scenario specifically relate (with examples) to a "standard propaganda technique refined by the Nazis and Soviets." ?

The immigration problem right now has many problems to fix, and gay unions are not backed by federal law at this time. So what is your point?

Who cares if same sex marriages become legal and commonplace? Who cares if they're also give the ability to immigrate to the US using the fiancee/spousal visa process? I'm not gay and I don't have any gay family or friends but I have nothing against them. I just don't understand the huge opposition to gays by 'normal' people. Maybe there's deeper issues there?

You know, there's an Internet joke called Godwin's law, that say that the likelihood of someone referring to the Nazis to make an extremely stupid point varies with the length of the thread. The corollary is that the first person to drag out the Nazis when trying to make a point that has nothing to do with genocide loses the thread on grounds of sheer stupidity.

So, you've managed pwn yourself in your own post.

As to your worries that homosexuals and the LIBERAL ARMY OF DOOM will be gaying up the K-1 and making you file in mauve, gay marriage would have to be recognized federally. I don't see that happening within the next 15-20 years.

Now the real question is why this is keeping you up at night.

Exactly what I was going to say. I don't feel threatened by gays, nor do I feel that another person's lifestyle (so long as it doesn't cause harm to anyone) is any of my business. Why do people care?

Some people are just trying to find ways of justifying their preconceived homophobia. A lot of closet racists do the same thing with ethnic minorities.

Plus, I'm wondering when the Nazis and Stalin managed to get together on one of their playdates to work on their propaganda techniques. Was it before or after they were on opposite sides of a major world war?

Wow, now I'm a Nazi because I support gay marriage? That's a new one!

Canada has allowed same sex partner sponsorship for about a decade now. Same sex marriage doesn't lessen the bond that my husband and I have, and it doesn't threaten our way of life in the slightest. I don't understand how allowing people life liberty and happiness is such a crime.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

Probably when George Bush made that speech in which he compared Lenin to Hitler to Bin Laden ;)

A universally applied statement is not a specific example. It is also a false statement which in turn could be labeled as propaganda. Pitiful.

Statement referred to: "Anyone opposing this vocal (screeching) minority is labeled a bigot."

The reason people are opposed to it, is because it affects our Judaea Christian philosophies in which this country was founded on. Our forefathers wrote our country up based on these values. The idea that a marriage is between a man and a woman.

To name a few Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland etc., these countries have adopted same sex marriage. The result of that (Shown in statistics. Google it), is traditional marriage is almost non-existent now in these countries, and births out of wedlock are on the rise. Of course the births out of wedlock affect the society as a whole, which in turn begets other issues that I will not get into at this time.

See, this is not just about gay marriage; this is about the society as a whole.
