Hi everyone! Finished CFO today and thankfully received the certificate and sticker on my passport.

Just want to share a few tips I've picked up based on what I've seen, heard, and experienced today:

- Make sure you have all the listed requirements

- Take the 'Other Requirements' part seriously

Do you have any idea if on tourist visa needed a cfo?

thanks... last question is there a possibility that they will not give you an approval and the sticker?

Yes there is that possibility. It all depends on you and how and what answers you give at the interview. Study Hank's guide and do what he suggests and you should not have any problems. You have to show that your relationship is genuine, and by answering the questions with confidence, all the while smiling and looking the interviewer in the eyes, should be enough. They love the weak, and so they will have a shark frenzy if you are timid and overly nervous.

It's in Hank's guide.... but here is the answer. Copies of the USC's bio page of his passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if they have been married before) - NO original copies needed for USC paperwork requirements at CFO.

Copies are just fine for your fiance (USC) documents.

Not sure how easy it is to cancel and schedule another appointment with CFO.

For Filipinos leaving the country with immigrant VISA

What you need to know...

As a Filipino emigrant, or those who have been granted an immigrant-class visa, you are required by the Philippine Government by virtue of Article 19 of Presidential Decree No. 442, to register with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas before leaving the country to settle in a foreign land. An emigrant who has properly registered with the commission will have in his passport the CFO sticker which will be inspected by the Bureau of Immigration upon departure.

Sorry my old website crashed, and I have not added the CFO info to the new wbsite yet. My

Here:

CFO:
ALL exiting required to attend.
There have been changes regarding CFO so for sure read through their website.
Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: originals & copies of; CENOMAR (CEMAR and marriage certificate if married), certified birth certificate. Passport and copies of bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together. From USC (copies of) - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common requests. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.
When you get to the 3rd floor, You'd be asked to fill up an Information Sheet. (Yes, you have to fill it up there, It's not the downloadable one on the CFO website.) Make sure you answer ALL questions/fields. Rendering this incomplete will be one of their criterias for you to be "HELD/ON HOLD" for one on one counseling.
Information Needed on the Form:
- Basic Information about you, the fiance(e)/spouse (Name, Address, Birthday, etc.; Your Birthplace is important too, specify which city/town/area/province)
- Basic Information about your petitioner (Sometimes you are going to be asked for the Birth Certificate copy)
- FULL MAIDEN NAME of fiance(e)/spouse's MOTHER
- Contact person in the Philippines, specifically immediate family as in Father, Mother, Siblings.
- Landline Number of Petitioner. (I know, I know, most of you guys don't use landlines now. That's what was running through my mind too.) If no landline is available, Landline of Petitioner's Nearest Relative or Petitioner's Neighbor.
- Petitioner's Educational Attainment, Degree/Course, Occupation
- Information on Petitioner's Divorce/Annulment/Death of previous wife or husband. You must have a copy of the Divorce Decree/Death Certificate.
- ZIPCODES. Both the petitioner and the beneficiary. Never forget to write those down.
** From the Family Code of the Philippines: it's 21-25 years old for advice and 18-21 years old for consent. (Some are posted on VJ that they were not asked for this, yet others have been asked, so be prepared) Bring the ID of the parents, plus copies, postal ID should be adequate.
Examples (from Quezon City):
