It's Saturday Somewhere

I have been cleaning like a mad woman all week. Makes the time go fast I can tell you that!!! 3 more days and my Valentine will be here... Is it reasonable to plan something like an outing/city tour after about 4 days of the SO being here or is that too soon?

What are you all doing for the weekend? Hope it's good, whatever you have planned.

Today I go get the new plates for my car and that might be the only thing that I do outside the house today. I've been ordering stuff on-line to take on my trip to Cairo . . . easier when you are out of town! Plus I need to load up some more music on my new 60 GB Creative Zen, hehe!! I can offload pix from my camera too and videos . . . although how I will be able to see them on that little screen, I do not know. I wonder how I will fill up that thing . . . oh, well, I got a rebate on it so it cost about the same thing as the 30 GB. hmmmmmmmmm, downloading more music might be good . . . I think I can get a trial period on napster.

I think I brought a head cold back from OHIO!!! I take a photo of the snow with my phone camera and sent it to Ahmed, lol, he is always amazed by the snow and wants to see it sooooooooooooo bad . . . making a snowball and throwing at me I suppose! LOL, i don't think he could stand the cold though . . . they think 60 degrees is cold in Cairo.

Good morning everyone! So glad it is the weekend. I'm off from both jobs today. So that means I must work at home and get the cleaning done and the laundry done. I hope it goes fast. Off to get my morning chocolate chip muffin. Have a good day.

Morning Maggie, did you get him his new hangers?? how a about hamper for his dirty clothes, im sure each day you will discover new things you forgot. I would think a tour would be good in couple of days. Here we have the bricktown canal would be nice to go eat there and walk around, close, quick still simple.

The Brick place sounds nice. Maybe I'll bring him to OK one day to see it. We have a lot in downtown Seattle to see. That is easily a 3 day ordeal to cover just the highlights. My favorite is the waterfront and Pike Place Market. The Trolley should be running soon. And the ferry rides are good if the weather is sunny. The scene's on Grey's Anatomy look pretty realisitic..I always wonder how they get them on a ferry in Seattle when they are filming in Calif??! But I haven't found a discrepency in the scenery yet.

Hamper?? ok back to the store...anything else you guys can think of? I wanted to have a gift here for him but just can't think of what to buy...Yes I got the hangars, a basket for my craft stuff, some candles and potpourri and the big move...I cleaned out under my bed!!! Found these underbed storage deals, vinyl, and figured they would free up some room in the closet with the seasonal clothes. I'm a genius I tell you. (but don't tell anyone) Now if I could just figure out how to read and not start a double thread...

Not to add to the two thread confusion but I have to comment................every time I bend over to pick something up and I glance under my bed I am AMAZED at the types of things that get under there. of course I never push the bed aside and actually clean it......it's more of a fun game....what else will I find the next time I look under there. lol. I guess I will eventually have to clean mine up tooooooooo.

He will appreciate and love all your efforts, and I'm positive he will notice.

My I make a suggestion? Leave some time and opportunities for him to select from a list of choices. Or simply let him decide.

btw: I'm letting my SO share in the "what to do" things during this visit. There were only a few things I planned, the rest are moments of opportunity for both of us.

They do on-location exterior shots throughout the season for TV shows, so the scenery you see really is Seattle. Or for Boston Public it's really Boston, etc.

Well the dancing yellow guys just keep coming Cool pic WoM!! Love it. My son commented that my stuffed winnie the pooh will have to be evicted from the bed shortly, and hopefully he won't crawl back up and kick Omar out He's been there since Christmas. Uh Correction WoM, I will never have an Omer, I have an omAr Omer belongs to some other lucky MENA girl.

I cleaned out the garage and took the dog for a bath...next to the nail salon and buy material to make a bedskirt that matches the current spread.

Doodle: Be careful under that bed...I found an old microwave lasagne tray that the dog had apparently dug out of the garbage months ago..fortunately she licked it clean so no science projects!

I'm not saying don't plan some things. Just have some in your mind, a few ready to execute, be flexible, and see how things progress. I know you will do the right thing.
