I am getting a lot of conflict answers on this question. For the HCMC consulate, which one do we do first medical or vaccination?

It clearly says to do medical exam fist on their guide but friends and agencies in vietnam keep telling my wife to do vaccination first, whats the deal?

"Step 1: Medical examination at one of our designated Panel Physicians: You MUST visit the Panel Physician before going to the immunization provider. Results are complete in approximately two days."

The reason people are saying this is so your wife won't have to make two trips to the medical exam location.

If she does the medical exam first, she'll have to return back to the hospital a second time to give them the paperwork from the vaccination. If she does the vaccinations first, she'll just have to make one trip to the hospital.

Thank you, why does the consulate say "MUST" on their guide? As if they're are not allowing us take the shots before the medical exam?

I can't answer that question. My fiancee is having her medical exam done this month and I told her to get her vaccinations first.

The medical exam should be $155, but the exam will be based on which vaccinations your fiancee needs.

Either way will work but if you have the medical exam done first, you'll be making 3 trips to your panel physician: one for the exam itself, one to bring back the Yellow form after you get your shots, and one to pick up the sealed medical exam package.

My wife had her vaccinations the day before her scheduled medical exam. She brought her vaccination transcript (the Yellow form) to her panel physician, had her exam, and came back the following week to pick up her sealed package.
