K1 interview March 12, 2015

Hello, guys!

This forum has been sooo helpful to me so, I'd like to share my experience/interview today at the embassy.

I arrived at 7:05 and there was no line for K1 by that time, so I was instructed to proceed inside.

We were told to have the DS160 in hand at all times, so that's what we did.

For "biometrics", the American consul asked for the NVC letter because he needs the MNL#.

For the pre-screening with the Filipino consulate, he asked for the

AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT

PROOF OF INCOME

CENOMAR

NBI (No record on file)

St. LUKE's brown envelop - I saw him open it and took out the 2x2 pictures I submitted at St. Luke's. In addition, he didn't ask me for any pictures. He asked me questions about my fiancé and me similar to those that are being shared in this forum.

Note: I was sitting next to a fellow K1 beneficiary, and she said that since her letter never arrived, her fiancé came back to the Philippines to go to the U.S. embassy to inquire in person. She said that since her fiancé is an American citizen, they were allowed inside. That was how they learned that her case files were already in the embassy since Novemeber. I think she said her fiancé was very upset about that. They made the inquiry in person last December 2014.

After oath taking, I went to the interview with an American consulate. She just said "tell me about your fiancé."

She was very nice and congratulated us on our upcoming wedding. Before I leave her window she reiterated that my visa is approved, I thanked her and was sent to "releasing" area.

I was told that my passport will be for pick up at Ayala 2Go. I was finished by 9:15 AM.

Again, thank you guys so much! Btw, I received the "letter that never arrives" last February 23 and by that time, I was already done with my medical! Lol. The long wait begins for the issuance and to attend the CFO. We couldn't have made it without your knowledge and support! God bless everyone at VJ!

The pre screeners are like trained monkeys, they ask for paperwork and questions out of routine.

I really like it when the fiance attends a the pre screener asks "When was the last time you saw your Fiance?"

Thanks for the report and Congrats..........
