The NVC should have a RDJ number for you, with that number you call the consulate to know if your case is there.

Nessa is right. Once you know your case is there you can send the documents from packet 3. My fiance never received the letter from the consulate ('til this day) so we downloaded the forms and he sent a cover letter and Sedexed it to Rio.

You can e-mail them too for confirmation - calling is not easy because you tend to wait on the phone for a long time.

Here is what your fiance needs to send to the consulate.

I think it's a good idea to send a cover letter too since you haven't received packet 3. And no, you don't need to receive it to send the following.

On our cover letter we included both of our names, our RDJ, and the contents of the package.

If you send it Sedex it'll get there the next day and you can confirm it.

***_" Packet 3"_***

1- 1 fotografias de frente 5x7

2- Form DS-2001

3- Form DS-230 (parte 1)

4- Xerox Passaporte (Copia das 2 primeiras paginas)

Agora confirma se o seu processo ja chegou no Consulado do RJ, por email ou telefone:

Email: immigrationrio@state.gov

Telefone (21) 3823-2021, o atendimento é feito de segunda à sexta-feira das 13:30h às 15:30h.

Of course.

Eliton's packet 3 never arrived and we still mailed out the documents.

I suggest sending a cover letter.
