How to prove we live together with no rent/lease receipts

My hubby and I moved in with my relatives in another state after we sold our house. We are living here until we can get a place of our own. We have joint bank statements with our current address, as well as other documents showing this residence as our address. Do we need affidavits from my relatives showing we live here together?

Something like:

(my name) and (hubby's name) are happily married and are living together in our residence at xxx street, xx city, zip, state

Do my relatives need to state/prove they are US citizens? (they are) I'm not sure what documentation they have...

I also want to add that my relatives don't own this property. It belongs to my SIL's mother, so there are no leases or documents of ownership, just documents showing a common address for my relatives and my hubby and I.

An affidavit from the home owner stating she lets you live there for free (hence no lease/rent agreement) might help.

I don't think I can get that in time before sending off the documents...gotta do that this week. Between all four of us working, we have a 2 day window for us to get papers signed and mailed. I can get statements from my daughter and her husband attesting to the fact that we are happily married and live here with them

Do you and your husband have drivers' licenses? Each with the same current address? If yes, this would provide some official evidence that you both reside at the same address.

Same with joint tax returns.

Probably more meaningful than affidavits - your family and/or friends would likely say anything you wanted them to.

We have joint bank accounts, joint health insurance cards, joint car insurance, joint tax transcripts and pay stubs from our work all showing the address where we currently live. I have my CA driver's license but hubby still has his Indiana one, not for a lack of trying. The DMV does NOT have the test in his native language. He is going to try again, but in CA you only get three tries for $30 something dollars....grrrrrr. We both also have official government letters addressed to the each of us at this address.

I think the W2s and tax returns, along with the other joint account documents, which contain both your names with a single address, are more than sufficient for demonstrating that you live in the same residence.

You just made my life a lot easier! Thanks. We can get the affidavits later if they are requested.
