SUERTE Y MUCHA PACIENCIA!!!

These are two different situations - for the CR1 the petitioner has to choose the choice of agent and where the NVC is going to send the documents. The NVC sends via REGULAR mail and usually the choice of agent is in the US. My suggestion is that you have them sent to your permanent address in the US and have someone forward to you via Fed Ex - otherwise you may never receive those documents due to the mail system in Mexico.

For the K1, the packet is sent directly from the consulate location in El Paso to both the K1 petitioner in the US and benficiary in Mexico so you are covered if one doesn't receive it although my fiance received his in Mexico City with no problem.

Thanks for clarifing that KitKat... I thought that NVC sent everything to Mexico by DHL, but of course the only situation I've had to deal with was paperwork being sent to the Consulate in Mexico, so I didn't know how it goes for the CR1.

Suerte!

Thanks AgRo and KitKat for your help.

I will have NVC send my documents to my US postal address, and I'll have my mom resend me the documents to Mexico.

I will try one of James' Shortcuts to email my Choice of Agent today.

Thanks again for your help
