Yes, it can be worded the same - just with a more current date. And add paystubs if you feel it may help.

I-131 Advance Parole

Evidence of Eligibility

• Copy of the K1 visa

• Copy of current, valid I-94 (front and back)

Explanation of circumstances: My daughter,xxx, will remain in Germany with her mother, xxx. I would like to be able to travel to visit her during the adjustment process and to have the ‘safety net’ of Advance Parole in the event of an emergency.

Employer letter guidelines are on the I864 so follow whatever they say there (although I do think it's the same as the K1 one, but double check) and you also should include some paystubs. They aren't required, only recommended, but seeing as so many people get RFE's regarding the I864 I would include them just in case.
