Just starting K-1 process

Hi,

My name is Wendy and my fiance and I are just starting the K-1 process. He is going to write the letter of intent and another stating how we met and he will fill out the G-325A forms and sign and mail back all this to me so I can send it off.

I just wanted to know if I was forgetting anything or if anyone had any helpful suggestions they could add to someone that is new to this process.

You'll need a passport photo from him as well.

Also, if he was married before, a certified copy of his divorce decree.

Beyond that, the guides are the best. They basically take you step by step through everything.

Tons of great info if you go to "Guides" at the top of this page. Also, start reading, reading, reading the K1 forum here and you'll learn TONS! Especially the PINNED ones at the very top of the list. Good luck with a speedy process!

DEAR WENDY.... YOU WILL NEED PICTURES OF YOUR SELF ON EACH OF THE G-325A AND HIM ALSO LIKE PASSPORT PICTURES. YOU WILL NEED JUST REG PICTURES OF PROOF OF BEING TOGETHER..YOUR PLANE TICKETS COPY THEM ..ANY MAIL HE HAS SENT TO YOU...THEY USE THE STAMP ON IT FOR PROOF... NAD ANY EMAILS HE HAS SENT YOU...SEND AS MUCH PROOF AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN..ONLY BECAUSE MOSTLY AS I HAVE SEEN ..THEY ARE GIVING OUT THIS 221G LETTER SO MUCH AND IT HOLDS UP EVERY THING....SO TRY TO SEND ALL YOU CAN THAT YOU HAVE BEEN WITH HIM IN PERSON AND HOW LONG YOU STAYED...WHEN HE GOES TO INTERVIEW THEY WILL WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH HE REALLY KNOWS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY....YES THERE IS SO MUCH..BUT AT THE END ITS WORTH IT......ELLA

Good luck! We are starting our journey too, but i've been a member of VJ for two weeks and I don't know that i could do this without this forum. I get on here and read new posts everyday just so i know about all the different problems and solutions facing everyone. Not many people in our lives understand what a confusing and stressful process this is, but there's always someone on here that's had the same questions and been through the same situation so you don't feel alone....even though your loved one may be thousands of miles away. Use VJ as much as you can and it will make this a much more bearable process for you and your fiance` B)

Hi there Wendy

Yes I also agree with blspicer and this is why Visa Journey is the best!

Eventhough my husband has gone through this process with a the K-1 fiance visa and gotten his 10 yr Green Card, our visa journey process is still not completely over, but being on this site has helped us in many ways and I will still keep on coming back here for any help we would still need when my husband goes for his citizenship.

There are so many wonderful people here and I have met many friends here that I will always keep even after everything is finished in our journey.
