Well, as you guys know we had an interview scheduled for Thursday, Feb 1 @ 12:15pm. We arrived at the Embassy at 11:45 and was ushered in at 12pm. Did the security check and was sent to the immigrant visa section.

The only thing that turned me off at the embassy was the way in which some of the Jamaican women treated us. They were downright RUDE, which was totally uncalled for. The irony of the situation is that the Americans treated us with much more respect, go figure.

The interview process was a little nerve racking, we were interviewed separately in a private room (Thank the Lord). Because with those windows and mikes you can an hearful. Some not so pleasant \o/ The lady who interviewed us was very nice to us. She asked us questions such as how we met, how many times I visited, when we got married, where we got married. She asked my husband where I lived, my mom's name. who filed for me, what I did for a living etc. Since my hubby and I were together the night before she asked us what time my plane came in, if he picked me up. what we had for dinner, what I wore to bed....

She also asked if I knew his number which I did, at this point I tried to have a normal conversation with her. She said our wedding pictures were beautiful. She didn't even ask for proof of the relationship, the lady was really really nice I can't stress that anymore.

After the brief conversation with her she told me to get my husband, and she told us to stop being nervous our visa has been approved. Then my husband burst out, I can get my son now!! and kissed me (L)

We were the first ones to walk out with our visa and went over to airpack where they told us that the passport and supporting documentation would be sent to us in 5-10 business days. We got the package in 1 business day :D:dance:

Our plan was to have my hubby travel a week after I left, but when we got the voicemail message on Monday night, I was still deciding if he should wait until the following week or come with me Wednesday....lets just say after Monday night I didn't need to think about it anymore  I woke up called Air JA and they had available seats. We booked the ticket and left. His family and friends are still in shock....my friends are screaming their lungs out and the my sister's 21month old baby has stuck to him like glue, he can't even hug me without her frowning :help: even though she just met him yesterday and I cannot believe he is at home in our bed watching TV. \o/ *sigh*

He is a barber by trade, and he has ton of friends in NY. Let him watch TV one day he's going to wish he has the opportunity to do so.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT VISA JOURNEY!!!!!!!

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa
