One thing I have noticed is that there seems to be, so far, a higher proportion of women who are older than their husbands/fiances etc.

Before anyone leaps on me I shall add that there's nothing wrong with this! I was just wondering how many met online and is this a contributing factor? Maybe because meeting online tends to be a "words only" kind of thing, rather than a face to face meeting, you tend to decide on the personality rather than seeing the age.

I dunno, I'm just babbling. Ignore me! :P

I noticed and thought the same thing! More power to you ladies

That being said, I am 35 and he just turned 44 today. So 9 years between us.

He and I share the same Bday!! I'm 34 though, lol Happy bday to derek

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Might go out for supper!! Highly recommend the Toscana Grill by courthouse plaza (actually by the metro stn) Dinner for two for 39.99! Includes appetizer, Entres, Dessert and either beer or wine!! Food is not spectacular, but very good. We would go there and then catch a flick at the theatre. You might need a coupon for that deal!! Or just say you left it at home. They never took our coupon, just looked at it, and said touse it again next time.

Imight watch the game on TV. I prefer to watch on TV, more comfy and cheaper beer!! Plus will be finishing up in the kitchen!! We repainted ourt cupboards (2 coats primer, 2 coats top) granite countertops get installed Wed and Backsplash tiles go up shortly after and new flooring . So busy and broke!! Need to officiate more hockey. Cheers
