We paid $1150 a month for a two bedroom condo in Franklin Park, NJ. Gated community, tennis courts, swimming pool, all the good stuff.

It's out there, you just have to look for it. We found that one on Craigslist.

We started our house move today.

Union, right? Let me know when you find out (if you do) what that construction in front of Union Station is all about. I drove by it again and it appears to be progressing quite rapidly. It's beginning to look like residential housing but given the location I am doubtful.

Which city did that? We have a dog in our neighborhood , starts barking daily at 11pm for about a half-hour. I'm used to it now but it used to piss me off. Of course I hate animals and that doesn't help.

I'll have a look. We're moving all our heavy furniture on tuesday, which I'm looking forward to about as much as a shot in the nuts.

We were thinking of moving to Connecticut or something when we end up buying a house. Though the wife and I really are thinking about moving back to CA. Pipe dream at the moment I fear...

How about PA instead of CT?

(I've seen people who work for MCPD who've said they commute from Gettysburg, PA each day)

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

A hairdresser I used to go to before I found a (cheaper & better) walk-in place near my work) told me that "NJ was expensive for no reason".

It's expensive due to its proximity to New York City. I can't think of any other reason -- otherwise it's ####### :)

Ironic that it's expensive DUE TO being close to a rubbishy city (and is itself also quite rubbishy)!

His view seemed to be that quality of life is more or less defined by the ability (and available opportunity) to get drunk in public - because outside of the major city there "isn't much to do". I know a fair few people living in towns around London who feel the same way.
