Should I use my A# assigned when I was a F-1 student for G-325a?

Hello.

I am trying to fill out G-325a form for my K-1 petition. I was in the US for 8 years under F-1 visa, and while I was there, I obtained an employment authorization card with A# on it (I did OPT).

So for the G-325a, should I use that A# that I received under F-1 visa for the K-1 petition? Or will I be assigned a new A# for marriage based immigration?

Also, are "File Number" (top right corner) and "Alien Registration Number" (at the bottom) the same?

Thank you.

I'd say yes, use your A #, because that will aid USCIS since they have already given you one. Plus, it's yours. Can someone else verify this? Thanks.

JapanGuest,

You have an A#, give it when it's asked for.

Yes, the A# is your file number.
