applying for citizenship question.. Help!!!

I came here in the US w/ k1 visa; got married ; applied for AOS and got my greencard last 1/26/07. Before having a baby me and my husband are planning to visit Phils every december just to vist & spend christmas there.

My concern is that can i apply for citizenship by 1/27/2010? Thats 3 yrs frm the day i got my conditional resident visa. My friend said i cant do that since il be visiting phils every december and that i should "continuously" stay here in the US if i would like to apply for citizenship by 2010.. She said the immigration will start counting on the time i just recently entered US and won't based on the date of greencard(conditional). So it means then that i will never qualify for citizenship coz of my plan going back home every year.. huhuh Is this true guys???

You're allowed to visit and go to other countries as you wish. It's if you stay over 6 months at a single time in another country that would then lead to a issue with your citizenship. I don't think spending a few weeks a year every year counts. That is basically just like a vacation which you're allowed to do.

I was really in doubt with what my friend has told me thats why i posted my question here Now its all clear & i know whats true. Hope there wont be any changes in the future though.
