I-751, do I need to file one for both wife and her daughter, or separate?

I have filed for my wife's ROC and received NOA, and of course listed her daughter on that form since they both arrived here together. The NOA only lists my wife's name, and now I am wondering if I should have filed a separate form for her daughter?

Two different people, two different petitions. Send in daughter's I-751 ASAP.

Thanks for the reply, I am confused because part 4 of the I-751 has me list children with their A number. I also included copies of her daughter's green card, passport, etc. thinking that one I-751 covered them both.

It is only one form but you pay for her biometrics in addition to the application fee and the biometrics fee of your wife. You did it correct as far as I can understand on your post.

Your daughter will receive her own NOA. My two sons' came a couple of days after mine. They weren't on the pretty letterhead, just on plain paper.

This is not accurate for I-751. You include the child's name on the form and pay an additional fee for their biometrics.

Thank you for your reply. That's what I thought, the fees were together and were accepted, including biometrics for both wife and daughter. I thought I had it correct. I did not receive any NOA for my daughter, I received the NOA with only my wife's name on it on February 2. I thought it odd that I didn't get anything for her daughter, and after reading something here on the site started to worry that I had made a mistake. I tried to call the USCIS, but when I put in the receipt number of the NOA (I haven't received a biometrics appointment yet) the automated system couldn't locate it. I think that is correct because the receipt number for the biometrics letter is the one used to track the application.

So, should I be concerned that I didn't receive an NOA for my wife's daughter? Everything else seems correct. Thanks!

Sounds like you followed the Page 1 Instructions of the Form I-751: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751instr.pdf. and properly listed the dependent child and accurately answered the associated questions on Page 3, Part 3 of the Form I-751: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-751.pdf and paid the appropriate fees for the child. If so, you should be receiving, as Mrs Hogan, described, a plain piece of paper (not official letterhead as the wife's NOA1 receipt/GC extension letter) that should suffice as NOA1 receipt/GC extension letter for the child.

Suggest that you contact USCIS if you do not receive the child's NOA1 in a couple of weeks. The child should also be receiving their own Form I-797C ASC Biometrics Appointment Notice, likely about the same time as your wife's ASC notice.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thanks again! I have tried calling the USCIS but can't get past the automated phone system without a correct receipt number. I heard also that the Vermont service center has acknowledge some issue with the scheduling system for the biometrics appointments, and that notices for those will be delayed. Has anyone else heard that?

I'm wondering how to contact the USCIS with a receipt number, and hopefully talk to a person. From looking at others' timelines here, it seems that two months is "normal" for the biometrics appointment letter from VSC.

There have definitely been problems with the scheduling. And Vermont is well... Vermont so there's just nothing normal there these days.

My kids' letters came after mine but our biometrics appointments all arrived on the same day. It is my opinion that your letter for your wife is the most important one. They cashed you checks and your wife is in the system. Although you will, naturally, feel better if you get to speak to someone, you at least know they're in receipt of it.

I wonder, if you called in to the system but punched in your OLD case numbers... could you get through?
