Bored and curious so I just used the member directory to see how many of each mena country we have as members here on vj. Here's how you all stack up:

Morocco - 391

Egypt - 162

Jordan - 92

Algeria - 51

Israel - 47

Iran - 46

Lebanon - 31

Iraq - 22

Syria - 17

Tunisia - 16

Kuwait - 10

Libya - 9

UAE - 7

Saudi Arabia - 6

Yemen - 4

Oman - 3

Qatar - 2

12/28/06 - got married :)

02/05/07 - I-130 NOA1

02/21/07 - I-129 NOA1

04/09/07 - I-130 and I-129F approval email sent!!!!

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

06/16/07 - Medical Examination

06/26/07 - Packet 3 SUBMITTED FINALLY!!!!

07/07/07 - Received pkt 4

07/22/07 - interview consular never bothered to show up for work.

07/29/07 - interview.

yeah henia..I was totally shocked at the jordan stats... ... I know I've seen a lot of Moroccos , Algerias, and Egypts...but had no clue about so many Jordans... COME BACK ALL YE JORDANS...WE NEED SUPPORT HERE :lol:

My guess is that when most get the visa they stop posting. That would account for a lot. Then there are the lurkers and then maybe some register but just never use the site.

These numbers almost concern me. Why are so many Moroccans trying to go to America? I'm an American and I'm trying to get to Morocco! :lol: Maybe somethings wrong with me.

Maybe check their timelines? If they are updated, should have the info ....

Unfortunately not everyone fills in their timeline and therefore doing a member search with the country name "morocco" brings up a lot more peeps than doing an embassy info search. I could go into everyone's profile and read their siggy but i'm no longer THAT bored. lol.

I wasn't too shocked with the moroccons since there seem to be a ton of peeps posting in mena that are dealing with morroco. I really would love to know why though too. Looking at the pictures it seems so beautiful there!!! I can understand the egyptians but the moroccons? I guess I just don't know enough of the politics, etc. to give an informed answer.

Does anybody have an explanation why there is only such a small number for people from Tunisia? Especially compared to Morocco?

short history:

2001 - met in Germany

April 2003 - fell in love

Aug 2004 - go to the US for internship

Feb 2005 - both return to Germany

Aug 2006 - getting married

DCF timeline:

09/01/2006 - filed the petition in Frankfurt

09/06/2006 - medical in Frankfurt

09/26/2006 - faxed checklist

10/05/2006 - received interview invite

11/01/2006 - INTERVIEW in Frankfurt - approved!

11/04/2006 - VISA IN HAND!!

12/21/2006 - POE San Francisco and ON TO SEA!
