Hubby had his medical in Mumbai on Monday morning March 30th @ 8:30 am and went back today April 2nd to pick up the sealed medical packet and X-ray CD. He said everything went well. This process was a little different than when he went through his medical 4 years ago for our K1. At that time it was performed at Lilavati Hospital and he had his medical and received everything in the same day. As anyone knows who is familiar with traffic and the diffuculties getting around Mumbai, having it all done and picked up the same day is a blessing! LOL Just wanted to let you all know who are still needing to have their medical, to make sure you leave enough time and don't wait until the last minute to have it done, since you may not be able to get the results the same day. Good luck all!

You're welcome! You have an early May interview if I'm remembering correctly? Oh also hubby spoke with ustraveldocs about the biometrics as to when is the best time to get that done. They told him anytime after receiving the interview appointment letter up to the day before the interview. I believe they are closed on weekends however, so plan accordingly! It's nice to know that can be done early if one wished to do so. Also you don't need to bring all of the documents mentioned on the list they send you once you register and book your appt. They told him he just needs to show up with the interview letter, his original passport (with I believe at least 8 months validity from interview date) and the sealed medical packet. As I have travel from ahmedabad to mumbai I have taken my biometrics appointment on 5th may at 12:00

When your husband is going for biometric app? I think it will be easy for him to go on any day like bcoz he lives in Mumbai rt!

Its so good to know there is someone out there just like u at the same embassy. . I wish we could have shared same interview date ( I ment early interview with me...lol).

And ya my passport is valid till 2020..so good side for me.

My hubby done with his medical today April 2 2015.They didn't give the report right away..they told my hubby to call tomorrow to find out if its ready or not.he is going to take biometrics on May 18 2 days before the interview. .Hope you all getting ready for the interview day..Good luck all

Yeah that's why we were trying to get transferred to New Delhi. I wanted to be able to attend his interview - to show a united front and all. Especially since this is our 2nd round. But it seemed like trying to get transferred was going to be a nightmare so we decided to just stick with Mumbai. I hope everything fares well in that respect for us now - and everyone here!

Yes you need appointment letter/P4 for medical.

I'm not sure about the K1 process but for my husbands CR1/IR1 he had to show his interview letter at the medical. So I believe you should make that appointment first and print out some kind of confirmation and have that before you go to your medical.
