I call it Jewpanese, because I recognize the attempt of 1 culture, attempting to experience another culture. And it's a dam good effort. It was, absolutely delicious. And thoroughly enjoyed by several people in my office. Whom, are world class eaters.

Speaking for me, I can sit down at most any restaurant in the world. And have an idea of what to order.

(But that's.....just me)

Got it.

I misunderstood. I thought the guy was trying to pass it off as sushi.

Hmm. Interesting. This all goes back to the importance of language.

Well, if he calls it something else, that is fine by me.

No, not language. Cultures. Can't be learned in schools.....

you just looked at a picture and put down the food in that picture. So you tell me, how can you learn about culture, from language classes?

Well if you've figured it out then I haven't figured out why you keep wanting to push your kid into a second language when you've stated she has trouble with english at the moment. But hey, your kid. If you enjoy the stress, by all means, have at it.

And done with my outside voice for the night. I'll get myself in trouble if I keep using it.

She speaks English just fine, just not the fastest to learn reading.

She easily verbally separates English and Danish at the present. The few months she was exposed to Tamil, she began to speak that and had no problem with the Spanish last year.

*shrugs* We have different life philosophies and our families have different expectations. I have promised her grandparents that I will educate her well and that I will most assuredly do. It is my job as a parent to afford her every opportunity that I am able.

I remembered you saying some Jewish guy was sending you some sushi, several pages back...words, Steve, words..

For me, there was too much food piled on the dish... I didn't say it looked as if it tasted bad, I merely said it didn't appeal to me aesthetically.

Catch Ya later.

ok that's respectable.

Doesn't mean that all schools should teach a second language.

you let your ham hock eating, catfish wrestling, moonshine swilling, jerky chewing, bacca spittin', roadkill chiseling, red necked hillbilly husband out-culture you?

Yup sure am.

I think stuff looks good but I can't eat it, it's like things just taste so darn bad I want to hurl.

Maybe last thread.

Anyways you posted a photo, which leads to aesthetic judgements. Unagi looks disgusting but tastes delicious. If I posted photos of it, I wouldn't expect compliments. And why so touchy? Are you a secret partner in the business ? Providing illegals as chefs??
