I didn't do the pasta and garlic bread this time. I used up left over mash potatoes. The plan was to make coconut chicken, but the older boy wanted something not sweet.

So, a few hours ago. I was outside playing with the kid, the neighbors kids, the neighbor who came upon hard times was out too, with his sons.

His wife is texting me like crazy now in a rage. Arguing about money, again.

He's pulling in about half the income he used to. That after being out of work for 2 months and blowing through their savings.

He's a couple of months behind with the bills, and lost the car already......

Her mom was in the hospital, and just got transferred to rehab.....


So much misery around.....


The wife. I'm being so careful to not take sides.....

She's a big spender. She's used to it.

I hope Tiff learns from this. Because she knows what's going on too.

I can only tell her that he's down on his luck. And of course he wants to provide for the family.

She's not giving him enough credit.

You're not gonna believe this, but that's exactly what I said to her.

That they have to stick together through tough times, and make the dollar stretch.
