haha i have now learned that any family gathering will have some sort of religious undertone to it...honestly i am really lucky to have such nice in-laws. they help us out a lot and never ask that we follow their "rules" or set expectations we have to meet in return. so i can be a good sport about the religious stuff they want to have lol.

We had pork chops on the bbq (with onion, garlic, and lemon pepper seasoning) which are so much better than in the oven or on the stovetop! And tomato, cucumber, & red onion salad. We also had some awesome corn on the cob and store bought redskin potato salad. Oh it was sooo good. Noh and cantalope for dessert.

My husband also LOVES red velvet. I don't think it tastes like anything in particular. I prefer german chocolate, fruit flavoured, carrot, or spice cake. I really love carrot cake and wish i knew how to make it homemade with raisins and real bits of carrot. /mouth waters

I grilled yesterday for supper, nothing chinese went into my grill last night. chicken and pork chops (marinated) . stir fried long green beans with sauce and pork, some greens, cabbage...

one of my krewe learned peranakan sweets making, it was amazing last night (no curry, either!)

I've not cooked since they moved in, last night was fun !

I have a carrot loaf recipe it's more dense then a cake but very yummy!

You slice it like a thick slice of bread and I put butter on it not icing

Rest-of-Sunday report, day of rest man:

Finished Many (2+2+2) laundry loads, sigh man.

Should have been Many (2+2+2+1), really man.

Put away ironing-board, not a minute too soon man.

Back hurts from having changed, solo, all Many beds in casa, no help man.

Mini-B. finally awoke after a Many-hour nap, exhausted wee man.

Watched Lightning McQueen movie with Mini-B. again, we and wee man.

Read Mini-B. Many (2+1) books, all at his request, amazing wee man.

Had too little time between then & late news to dish the warsher, not quite man.

Watched late TV news, see man.

Dished the warsher, exhausted man.

Made first Many lunches for the week, job of husband man.

Desperately need zzz NOW man, but must wait till warsher finishes, >half an hour man.

Mrs. T-B. has decided to force him to, she man. Other relatives have impressed upon her that he isn't getting enough sleep. The exclamation point on that was his complete meltdown while visiting Mama T-B. two weeks ago, exhausted wee man.

Gratifyingly, Mama T-B. told us that there is still no comparison between Mini-B. and the previously miniature T-B. in meltdown capacity, still the reigning champion man.

And naps are wasted on babies when WE need them, sigh and need zzz man.

Cat prep zzz after imminent (we hope) de-dishing, ciao man.

Up early need more sleep, hubby went out the door to work and came back in his tire is flat! So he came in to change and went back out to change the tire. Went went out friday and took the truck in the guys could not find where the hole in the tire was. (we couldn't either) Well obviously there is one cause now it's flat.
