These are little, brown, and have red wings. I just have never seen so many in a back yard. In a field with tall grass, yes, in a back yard, no.

They say it might snow here on Monday.

But it's been shorts weather for the past few days, so I'm confident that winter is finally done. All of which means I'm not preoccupied chasing the fluffy white stuff for the season.

Having said all that, this past season was one long trail of awesome.

No but we had a lab that used to like grabbing the cicada's in her mouth and run around like a nut. She sounded like a motor boat

I made chicken and dumplings last night. Apparently kiddo thought the chicken cooked in chicken broth tasted weird and hubs said "it's not how my mom makes it." Well it's likely HEALTHIER than she ever made it because it came out of a weight watchers book. Sometimes I wonder why I venture outside of their apparent comfort zone...

when yer all done cooking it,

add:

1. 1/2 pint of fat free sour cream and

2. enough corn-starch to thicken it all and

3. 1/3 cup of chopped chives...

Anyhow.. making goulash and rice. Both like it. Should be fine. And broccoli.

Showered, recovered, headed out again man.

Retrieved same-day dry-cleaning, convenient man.

Took semi-satisfying siesta, needed less-interrupted zzz man.

At Many p.m., Mini-B.'s little amigo still at casa, mom delayed man.

Mrs. T-B. & Mama-Mrs.-T-B. went out shopping, with coupons man.

Little amigo's mom finally showed up, other amiga still in labor gee man.

Mini-B. disappointed at amigo's departure, sad wee man.

Agreed to watch Lightning McQueen movie with Mini-B., bachelor activity man.
