Friday report, see man:

It was a good Friday, si man.

Arose at o'dark-Many (earlier than for GSs) for road trip, si man.

Intended first destination = huge semiannual antiques fair, major spectacle man.

Needed to hit road at Many a.m., but didn't until Many:Many, lost half-hour man.

Had to stop once for emergency dewatering for Mini-B., peewee man.

Had to stop again for gassing Mrs.-T-B.-mobile, prescient move man.

Got caught in utter gridlock on 2-lane country road, miles before arrival, sigh man.

After hour of not exceeding Many (2+2+1) mph, took first possible detour, bail man.

It was spitting rain anyway, damper on situation man.

Got to decent tiny town and had excellent lunch, si man.

-- Mrs. T-B. & Mama-Mrs.-T-B. had catfish specials, decent deal man.

-- Mini-B. had chicken tenders + French fries, kid's plate man.

-- We had a huge (double) CFS with fried okra, ingest-till-stuffed man.

-- Waitress gave us free slices of cake for dessert, ingest-till-overstuffed man.

Mini-B. played in gazebo in town square at length, energetic wee man.

Mrs. T-B. took selfies & groupies, incorrigible photographess she man.

Drove to headquarters of Blue Bell Ice Cream, eagerly ingest man.

I-C Parlor overrun with visitors, chiefly Chinese, fook % unknown, populated man.

Ordered Many (2+1) double-scoop servings at $1 ea., slurp man.

-- Mama-Mrs.-T-B. had blackberry-swirl-something, senior she man.

-- Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. had cookies 'n' cream, she and wee man.

-- We had Dutch chocolate, slurrrrrp man.

It had rained hard while we were inside, deluge man.

Had to wait to return to Mrs.-T-B.-mobile, no get wet man.

Drove to look for bluebonnets, see man.

Despite recent rains, bluebonnet population disappointing, sigh man.

Stopped by roadside, but too wet for chicas to venture into them, sigh man.

Everybody tiring by now, need zzz man.

Drove past other usual stops, not this time man.

Stopped at VF Factory Outlet, first time since Mama-Mrs.-T-B.'s last visit man.

-- Mama-Mrs.-T-B. found much good stuff, pleased senior she ma'am.

-- Mrs. T-B. found some good stuff, pleased she ma'am.

-- Mini-B. got two toy cars, pleased wee man.

-- We got Many (2+1) Nautica umbrellas for $Many ($2x2x2+2+2) ea., stock up man.

Headed casa-ward, exhausted man.

Debated, at length, stopping for dinner elsewhere on road, road trip man.

Decided, after length, to return to casa to eat/shower/nap, return eat shower nap man.

This was good idea, completely exhausted man.

We napped like dead thing for ~2 hours, partially with cat, zzz we & partial miu zzz man.

Mini-B. went out like light half an hour earlier than ever, zzz wee man.

Mama-Mrs.-T-B. debagged purchases and went out like light, zzz senior she man.

Mrs. T-B. watched some "unsolved mystery" TV shows and went out like light, zzz she man.

We warshed the kitchen rags a night early and must soon de-dryer them, domestic man.

Or maybe we will leave them there for later, no urgency man.

Chicas very well pleased with trip, she men, as was Mini-B., wee man.

It was a good Friday, si man.

Several GSs on itinerary tomorrow, arise at o'dark-Many again man.

Cat prep zzz man.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Because I'm some sort of freak, I was up until 4 am cleaning and doing laundry.

It is really hard to sleep at night, especially with my husband in the bed. I neeedz more room and more cold.
