Entrapment by the police posing as buyer?

He got collared in the Rutgers area. I'm thinking he sold to a UC (undercover).

Now, the NY entrapment manual is like a thousand pages.

I'll try to explain what entrapment is......

There's a hot chick on a corner in a known prostitution prone location scantily clad, and she comes up to me, and starts touching me, and says "hey baby, wanna ?". And I say I do, and she turns out to be a uc. That's entrapment!

Another sample. Cop stops a car for running a red light. The driver tells the cop, I'll give you 500 bucks if you let me go. Cop collars him for bribery. That's not entrapment.

Same scenario, but this time, the cop says to the driver "hey, you give me 500 bucks, I'll let you go". And driver does give the cop 500 bucks. Then the cop collars him for bribery. That's entrapment.

It is same as the police undercover pretending to sell bomb making devices to terrorist wannabes and then arrest them for terrorism acts.

Ok that's why the entrapment statutes are a thousand pages long, along with wire tapping guide.

It depends on what kind of info the FBI got and from whom. If the circumstances are correct. Then it's not entrapment. Cases like this, there's already a federal prosecutor assigned long before the arrest, and guided the case before anything becomes "fruits of a poisonous tree".

Meaning in part, one misstep will cause everything else to be thrown out.

Hey what I look like, a law professor? Man you go pay for law school!

Go to school with Darklar.

I don't know all the facts yet, so I can't speculate. NJ is harsher (rightfully so). Especially that county. The jury pool will be conservative.
